Amphetamine effects: Less enjoyable the second time around?

I think we are talking about the diference between physiologcaly active , psychoactive and psychedelic . Opium is a perfect example of a drug that when you have had a lot of it its effects change and become boring . I`ve had a lot of it , pharmasutical opium tincture , indian , thai and persian opium . I spent a few weeks on the top of a mountain in the golden triangle in 1990 taking it and working in an opium field . I had been a heroin / mixed opiates adict before , so on my first night in the village i became the village entertainment . They all came and watched me and were astounded when i smoked 80 pipes without much effect . Every time i woke up there was a que infront of my hut of people with bags of grass and lumps of opium for me to test and buy . Drugs are tools to be used in certain situations . Speed has its place , opiates to , but most people abuse them . In thailand in Meo , Laha and Akha villages when a kid cant sleep he gets a few sucks of opium blown in his face and goes to sleep . I`ve seen it done with an 18 month old boy . After building a tolerance to a drug and with age the effects of drugs changes .
