there has been some recent posts about drugfreeworld.com , well, have you ever checked out above the influence? These guys had anti-marijuana ads on US national television. they have a section on the website called "Facts" wich points out marijuana as a potential causer of heart attacks, panic attacks, schizophrenia depression and addiction. http://www.abovetheinfluence.com/

at least it seems the campaign backfired .

From wikipedia :

In 2006, the Government Accountability Office released the results of 5-year-study, concluding that the campaign was completely ineffective, and was even counterproductive, leading those exposed to an increased perception that others use marijuana, stating, "analysis also indicated that among current, non-drug-using youth, exposure to the campaign had unfavorable effects on their anti-drug norms and perceptions of other youths’ use of marijuana—that is, greater exposure to the campaign was associated with weaker anti-drug norms and increases in the perceptions that others use marijuana."

:D

Edit : haha just found out a section of the page called "why do people do drugs?" where a "reason" is givven followed by an answer to discredit it. so here it goes:

R:There are rumors that marijuana has some medicinal benefits.
A:Major medical organizations disagree.

haha, did you watch the stoners in the mist documentary?

I can't tell if it's pro-marijuana or against it.

These organizations are spending millions of dollars on these kind of websites, brochures, high school programs and Google ads to 'convince' a few teens to abstain from drugs. But it just takes three or four poor musicians recording a far-out demo in their garage to inspire thousands of teenagers to get high.

They've got money and the Lord on their side, we've got genuine art and the real facts.

When I was 11 my teacher told me lsd would turn the curtains into beautiful epics landscapes and then maybe for example morph into for example a dragon. Whoooh :o
He said it would be really scary and you shouldn't do it.

When I was 16 I took some acid and I did see a giant reptile fly past me! It was scary...

I guess I had a good drug education.
