Is there any reason one couldn't extract w/ ISO and lower the pH w/ HCl and then neutralize w/ baking soda and then filter and evap?

The boiling water wont harm the Mescaline as Mescaline is pretty stablile. The only problem is that you need to grind the dried chips to make a tea and it turns very goopy. Usually one strains the solids out of the cactus snot and re-simmers and repeats 3 times and then reduce the 3 simmers down...

A lot depends on the cactus material and type of extraction. Mescaline HCl is pretty much always the same regardless of cacti as you are only getting the Mescaline for the most part unless you use too strong a HCl solution and get brown sanchez. Teas made from cactus are far more potent than...

Also, Nanacapilli, If you are planning on an Aya brew, look into egg white or jello teks for removing the tannins in the brew. This should greatly help, if not eliminate, nausea and purging. Just a thought.
