Never heard of this before, but very interesting!

"Yuremamine was recently discovered as a chemical in the root bark which allows the dmt to be oraly active, some how either as a maoi or it somehow binds to dmt and prevents it from metabolizing."

"For those that want to try this, its very simple to make.It must be done as a cold water infusion, as the heat destroys the Yuremamine thus explaining why people have had the experiences with it in an ayahuasca analog. The other factor is that you must use a lot more root bark. about 25-45gm (which you would not want to take that much with an maoi) of root bark actually. A cold water infusion is made letting a half inch of water sit above the ground up mass of Mimosa Hostilis root bark. you can get your hands in there and mash the root bark with your fingers mixing it with the water, squeezing it out and letting it reabsorb. Let it sit in the fridge and soak for a few hours at least or a few days if you want to. Should be fine either way. Then strain it and drink it."

Does anyone have more information about the chemical structure and effects of yuremamine?

I guess that when it's an indole (wiki) that it has his own psychoactive properties instead of mao-inhibition?
