i have a friend that was asking me about the use of lye in the extraction process. i was explaining to him the use of both the sodium hydroxide and naptha during the extract and he gave me this look like " your guna smoke lye? wtf!"
so, i was wondering, i know there are different techniques to getting more pure deem, but your still smoking lye right?
there is no possible way if your mixing that much lye with what your making that your not getting any at all.
i make hash once in a while with butane, when the butane ends up on the glass sheet you let it evaporate. at this point i used to scrape the plate and presto chango, you have hash. after a few times of smoking this, i noticed the hash bubbled as i was smoking it. so i threw it on a plate and put the plate over boiling water, sure enough the hash bubbled for about 10 minutes then stopped. after that, you could see the difference, all the butane was cooked out. so before, even though i thought there was nothing left, there was, and i cant help to think the same thing happens with the lye and naptha during dmt extraction...
someone tell me!

you can usually see most of the lye sink to the bottom. looks like a thin white ring around the bottom of the jar.
the aqueous mimosa mixture stays in the middle, while the basified naphtha soluble "DeeM" stays at the top.

To actually get any lye in your lungs you'd need temperatures of 1400°C... So it's improbable that you'll smoke any lye

To get lye in your naptha solution is not possible. You would get something like 10x10-14 molecules.

On top of that, as indolik said above me, it's a salt that needs to be raised to 1400°C before it vaporizes.

This is an ignorant question - there is no need to worry about this.

IJesusChrist a dit:
This is an ignorant question - there is no need to worry about this.
this is not an ignorant question, i have never made the extract and i am not a chemist so why would i know at what temp lye evaps? you should more consider that i have come here to ask the people who know these things better than i. so lets put the condescending comments aside and jut answer the question.

"i have never made the extract and i am not a chemist so why would i know at what temp lye evaps"

Isn't that the definition of ignorance?

I wasn't trying to insult you, I was trying to destroy your worries. If I had written nicer, I feared you would have doubted me. Now you're not ignorant on the subject.
