Aemilius says that everywhere else is sinking too, yeah - sure is on some scale. But you can be even more lethargic and not notice as much sinking in many other places.

The reason I'm still here is to finish my degree. The US is great in that it pays me to learn. My job in the near future will be doing research on things that I actually care for, my hobby; plants and chemistry. Pretty fucking cool if you ask me. I can only do that, with great success in a few countries. And again, remember spice - I'm the one that said there are more ups than downs here, remember?

Its very odd, but last night my roomate was very intoxicated. Out of nowhere he attacked me and said "Why can't I just drink Jon?"

I said go ahead... Somehow, the conversation which started with me asking where my other friend was, turned into him explaining to me that he doesn't care if people suffer for his own profit, that he wants to get drunk and eat mcdonalds and be rich. He doesn't care what the system does and I quote "I know whats going on all around me, but I choose to be blinded and ignorant to it"

Somewhat reminded me of myself a few years ago, but maybe not so blunt. It also reminded me of this topic.

But we're not going to get anywhere. So, this will be my last response. I am not learning from you and you are not learning from me.
