US Customs took my shrooms?!?!?

Today in the mail i recieved a letter from US customs saying they seized my grow kit on counts of "Merchandise introduced contaray to the laws of united states" and it was considered drug paraphanalia. So they say that i can petition to the courts to get my growkit back or give it up. But if i try to petition to get it back it says that i could either be granted the request, with adequate proof what i'm using it for, or immediate referral of the case to a US attorney for court action. What should i do try to get them by saying i'm like using it for a science project on fungus or forget them. Anyone else got letters form customs???

Hey man, sorry to know about this but i guess that with all that tightening of security and extra attention since this a package clearly marked and coming from holland true land of the free!
I guess you are pretty lucky to have received only a letter since if they could spare manpower (aka lazy bastards) you would have at least two poking around your house embarasing you and your family.
I have almost no problems and even so i take care of my privacy, all i can say is: FIGHT BACK!

Hey there Shroomers!Very sorry to hear about it,never anything happened to me.But you are lucky in not having cops troubling you,the only way in America for not having customs or cops after you is to grow your own or not ordering at all,and find alternative ways to get them.American ways of government are pretty useless and meaningless,if you ask me.Good luck next time.

Oh my god, 2 days after i recieved the letter i recieved a phone call from the head of US customs!! Well basically what she said was that i could be fined up to $5,000 for doing this and i kinda tried to play dumb and say they were for my fungus project for biology. Then she was like we are only going to warn you this time but if anything else like this is found being mailed to my name or my address that i would recieve charges for both of them. What a bummer!! I recon with all the securtiy at the borders now it's not possible to get shrooms for us USA people. So be warned you will recieve a letter and maybe a call from customs saying hey you need to explain this!!!!

Oh man I'm really sorry to hear that. But at least you dont have to pay the money. I'm sure that the ones that take your growbox will eat the shrooms themselves. I know that just a little of the captured stuff is burned or anihilated. The rest is used by the capturers or being sold. That's how it goes all around the world. What a f.... world this is ... damn
Whatever i can write hundreds of pages in this subject. Just nevermind this growbox and let's think a way for you US friends to get your orders without problem. You may use different name and adress and not use credit card but that's a problem in the arrival of the order cause as far as I know postman checks identity of the receiver. If you're near mexico you may go there and order to and adress there but that's another risk to be captured in mexico cause they may not tolerate a US citizen as "she" did. What else i cannot think now *shrug*

Hey, man, that sucks about your grow box. BUT - I think customs is actually legally bogus on this one, from what I understand. From what I understand from the legal section of Erowid, only California (unfortunately, the state I live in) & Georgia have laws against mushroom spores; meaning that anywhere else, you can have the growbox, but you just can't grow shrooms in it. Check out that site further for more specifics (www.erowid.org). I live in California, but got mine delivered to a mail box I'm renting across the state line in Arizona (which of course is a big pain in the ass). I also think it's a little suspicious that they would give you some wierd 'warning' about it, twice, instead of questioning you for real. Check into it, fight em back when you find out if you're right. Good luck, let everyone know how it works out.

I think you're incorrect when you say nobody, i think most people have realized this. The only problem is that they either take advantage of it, don't give a damn about their freedom, or they fight the fight and the government blocks out their vote.

I was part of a group called the EMSO, the Everyone's Marijuana Supporter's Organization, but the cops kept tryin' to scare everyone around our area, people thought that if they were seen at our rallies, that cops would know that they smoked pot, so they would get busted. Stupidity is also a problem to why we are losin' our freedom.

Frankly I am sick of fightin' the fight. That's why i'm goin' to move to a place a little more free once i do make some cash.

I am also a bit tired of all this crap, sometimes i get really tired and apathic towards how humanity is developing.
I wish people would start to see their live diferently, sometimes when i go out and try to blend in, i get scared at the level of conversations and ideas.It`s like talking to a pre-programmed computer, mainstream "art", standart behaviour, loans and credit, war, unproductive violence, shit it`s like the bloody matrix! ;-)
A mass of self contained and artificial-happy people that are soooooooooooooooo easy to control, just change the variables and watch them go like puppets.
It`s hard to try to be free in your mind when chackles dongle from everywhere. I know of a great place in Portugal Dan kNugs, just get yourself a nice place at Alentejo and a sattelite dish for communication and suddenly thing look better!

Wow i think that all of you are right and damn that sucks they took my growkit damn. And is it just me or do drugs make you smarter? I'm pretty sure that most of the people that use this website are pretty well experienced with various drugs. Well for me i think that acid and shrooms kinda make me see life how it really is, and just help me figure out like stuff that no one else would think of. Like why life is the way it is and how did we really get here, if so then how can there be so many races from the same kinds of people?? Some people i know say that acid makes you so stupid that you become smart, maybe but i dunno. I say that you know how they say you can have a bad trip, probably mainly cause someone who wasn't ready to see shit moving took some and got all freaked out but what if that is what everything really looks like. As science teaches all matter has moving particles in it, maybe we see it and our mind tricks us into thinking it's not moving so we don't freak out, but acid just shows it to us like it is with a little color sometimes??? Am i crazy or could there be truth in this???
