Trying to figure out what I took (Research Chemical)

Well a couple days earlier from writing this I was at local "rave" (from fairly small city so nothing to large) and I acquired a research chemical that was supposed to mimic the effects of MDA or Sasafrass. It was a capsule with a light yellowish powder. It took roughly 40 minutes to an hour to kick in. There was the feeling that you can get from anything MDA or MDMA related that you love everyone and want to please everyone. I had minor visuals that made everything bright, intricate and so picturesque. Sometimes even cartoony but in a well drawn beautiful art sort of way, not a comedic bugs bunny sort of thing. The worst feeling however was this extremely intense amphetamine feel. This kept up for two nights with no sleep at all. The nice effects lasted maybe around seven hours but i swear to god that the amphetamine effect lasted for about 48 hours. Needless to say I won't be taking a whole dose of whatever that was ever again. Not a fan of grinding my teeth and sitting with my thoughts going a thousand miles per hour. If anyone knows anything about research chemicals and can give me a chemical name I would appreciate my curiosity being cured.

As helpful as the post above was, I'm going to say it was mephedrone (4-MMC).

Although the 48 hours seem like a looong crash for it, I'd say they give you a large dose. Chemically, it's similar to meth but would also produce the MDMA-like symptoms.

Hey Aemilius, trust me, I completely agree. If someone handed me a random pill, and it wasn't Laurence Fishburne, I would say fuck off. But I'm assuming this guy (or girl) is young and dumb, so I would at least tell them what to avoid in the future. The absurdist thing though, I like the sound of that.

Seriously though, why would anyone with half a brain take something when
they don't even know what the fuck it is or what it will do to them? Not one
person so far has asked "Hey man, are you stupid or something?” Instead,
everyone responds by trying to help this idiot (sorry Logarth) identify the
substance based on some vague recollection! Even the title of the thread
“Trying to figure out what I took” amazes me! Are you kidding? I wouldn't
take a pill offered to me by a stranger if they told me it was aspirin, let
alone some so called "research chemical" allegedly created to mimic the
effects of some other drug given to me by someone at a rave that I don't
even know! That's just text book mental illness in my opinion.

MDA analogue sounded fairly interesting (kinda asked myself why). The person I got it from went to school so that person could make these sort of chemicals. I trust the source but im an ignorant consumer so yes im very stupid. Psychonaut Absurdist seems to mean arrogant fuck but hey "Trying to figure out what I took" actually does sound kind of funny now that I think about it so sarcasm I can understand. I appreciate your responses Aemilius you make a good a point.

Thanks for the advice Found out shortly after posting that I was going to the source that I took 6-APB. Me being up so late was probably just myself being and insomniac perhaps.
