Can we please ban this person? They clearly do not understand that for someone to be supporting these kind of things is also supporting suppression of themselves and to all fellow Psychonauts. Lets please ban this awkwardly confused individual.
No, we don't ban people for being confused. EllisDee appears too politically engaged to be a genuine psychonaut to me (hardly any participation in other topics), but he/she isn't doing anything but expressing his/her views, which is alright.
He smells like a DEA agent to me.
As Terence McKenna once remarked at the beginning of a lecture: "You can easily spot the narcs in an audience: they are the ones dressed like hippies."

Caduceus- Maybe not an outright ban, but this 'person' is going to endure the consequences of expressing his ass-backwards viewpoint here.

We are persecuted for trying to live alternative existences by his kind, they are unapologetic and heavy-handed.....

Ellis, I have a REVELATION for you.

FOX news isn't professional journalism. It is the television equivalent of the 'National Enquirer'......they have NO credibility with real journalists, or anyone who can think for themselves. FOX is a propaganda machine for conservative bible-pushers such as yourself.

And you whiny-ass conservatives wouldn't have to contemplate the consequences of an Obama administration if you hadn't fucked everything up so bad.

Sean Hannity is a M-O-R-O-N.

He exemplifies the worst traits a conservative could have.

You can call yourself whatever you want, you're a Republican who
admits to liking drugs.

Whether or not you want to understand it, the conservative political platform in this country is dedicated to suppression of individual rights.....,since so much of what emanates from your mouth is ultra-conservative, how can you sit here and claim to have an interest in this website at all?

An agent provocateur (plural: agents provocateurs, French for "inciting agent") is a person who secretly disrupts a group's activities from within the group. Agents provocateurs typically represent the interests of another group, or are agents directly assigned to provoke unrest, violence, debate, or argument by or within a group while acting as a member of the group.

^I think for balance you should at least add another source.

Fox News is Stupid and Silly in a Fair and Balanced Way

by Robert Gaiek
Dissident Voice
August 28, 2003

There are no words to describe The Fox News show, Fox and Friends. But think of three chimps scratching themselves and picking lice and fleas out of each other's hair, while alternately whooping and hollering and jumping from chair to chair. You don't need to watch the Discovery channel to learn what humans were like 10 thousand years ago. At the risk of offending old people like myself, I could also say they remind me of three old ladies really high on crack cocaine, alternately gossiping and speaking in tongues, while having absolutely no awareness of which planet they are on, with each wearing Arnold T-shirts showing his full frontal nudity.

The network that pays, cleans, and feeds these Neanderthals (think of three stinking drunk George Bush clones without a script and a minder) claims to have "dropped a lawsuit" against Al Franken because he was getting too much publicity for his book: Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right. Actually, they were laughed out of court. Fox lawyers must have given as much forethought to their stupid and silly lawsuit as Bush and his pals gave to the stupid and silly invasion of Iraq.

I think Ellis enjoys gang rape.

What the fuck is up with the name calling...
And where the hell is GOD?

What are politics doing in a psychonaut forum ?

^I don't know if you have noticed, but politicians have ruined this world for the last couple of thousand years. Maybe we can talk about it?

What are politics doing in a psychonaut forum ?
Psychonauts sometimes want to discuss politics. There are many ways politics and the use of psychedelics are related. Think about the drug war for example. You can't discuss the drug war without talking about politics in general.

In this particular thread EllisDee (who doesn't participate in user related sections of this forum) serves as the stage upon which psychonauts can present their point of view, and I must say I enjoyed reading the contributions of FluidDruid, Spice, Forkbender and others.

I'd say that being in fear of being arrested and your lives ruined because of the substances you ingest, counts as politics. Who makes these laws? It's certainly not us. Politics are I'd say one of the biggest issues the average Pshyconaut faces from a day to day bases.

Politicians exist because people have enpowered them. Why don't you talk about our necessity of being ruled, or how we like to kick our responsability into a lawbook ?
Discussing news-sources, Obama, McCain, and other fantastic characters will lead no where, specially when one thinks that democracy is the act of voting. When there is no choice (because all the candidates are equal), there is no democracy, and you can vote all you want. And this does not apply to the USA only.

Good point, but does that mean we cannot even discuss this?

Or is it a waste of time?

Not ALL people have empowered them.

Making a blanket statement such as that one is what a lot of politicians are guilty of doing;

'The 'people' deserve better'

Which people?

....and this thread isn't REALLY about 'news sources, Obama, McCain, etc'

It's REALLY about the conservative point of view MASQUERADING as something else, and it fucking A IS relevant to this forum, sir.

We all understand that the 'democratic' system in America is fucked, but I'd still rather have a candidate like Obama, who isn't a paternalistic, totalitarian war-pig, in the White House.

The conservatives are the reason the whole world HATES the USA right now......and they are bringing about depression and recession, in the name of their brand of 'capitalism fueled by religion'.

Who am I to say what "we" should discuss or not ?
You waste your time discussing what you want. The strangest thing is that this is turning into a ego show/personality cult.

"Blue cars are so much faster than black ones."

"No it is not, everyone in my family has had black cars and they swear by them."

"Yesterday I saw a black car with a flat tire"

You can call that politics as long as you want. Children also think that their small cars make noise by their lips and they can see flashing lights in small plastic pieces using their imagination.

Just a quick question to spice, in reply of what he wrote.

In what way do you know Obama, besides what you have been told by the media ?
And I am talking about objective knowledge, not what you have heard/read by others. What contact have you had with him ?
If he isn't a liar, fake puppet like McCain, Bush or Clinton and so many others, why is he running for president with the back up from multi-nationals/big corporations ?

Direct, objective knowledge?

There is no such animal. You are seeking a black and white clarification to a grey question and subject.

But I know that the democrats aren't as trigger-happy as the Republicans.

I know that the democrats are friendlier to drug-users.

I know that the Democrats aren't as friendly to Exxon.

Why don't you tell me why I'm wrong?

...and you can't advocate an answer that doesn'r involve the political process as it exists, because that is not happening.

So, there is no revolution, except the one quietly practiced.
