Magic , that video is the pits . Those kids are being indoctrinated to give their lives for jesus and its maniacs that are telling them what jesus wants . Jesus wanted love and peace . They are worse than the nazis in WW2 .

Drugless that is surely a sign from god .

it's quitting time for me (I'm quitting tobacco and cannabis at the same time)

Hell, I wish you good luck with that! I once didn't do them for 5 days and I had a hard withdrawal depression :?

All the best with that.

Thanks for your support :)

I now haven't smoked any cannabis or tobacco for 8 days, but for tobacco I quit like a month ago but took some puffs now and then and did have a small "rechute" (don't the english word) where I smoked like 6-7 half cigarettes (I now hate them so much that I can't smoke them until the end) within 3 days.

But now, at day 8 with no smoke at all, I feel great! My lungs are so healthy! Yesterday I ran something like 2500-2600 meters in 12:30 minutes :)
I would never have been able to do this a week ago ^^

I am very happy you get on well.

By the way.............

I hope drumcircle is still alive!??

Hmmm... maybe he's trapped in his temple...

Or maybe he was frustrated at how the thread's subject deviated and left... :(

props, i will be attempting to quit the tobaccy in a week or so myself. made it almost a week last time.. heheh

Thanks GOD.

Wow, everybody really doesn't like America. That hurts. Like I said countless times before, I in no way think we should be going around the world doing anything. I am not a Bush lackey. I believe in extremely limited government, and the right of the individual to express/achieve on thier own. I don't want to engage in a discussion on world politics-it would exceed the scope presented here. Let's just say that politics ruins everything it touches. Music, with violence and 'a message to get out', instead of making you feel good, psychedelic research- hippies having fun (and thinking for themselves)---we can't have that!! Propaganda, etc. Don't worry, there's plenty of propaganda here! The world is an extremely complicated and delicate balancing act. I just made the statement to be strong. I think it was taken out of context.
There is nothing fake, or 'troll' about me. I'll tell you the truth as I see it. Just ask. As you can see, I am not reluctant to have an unpopular opinion.
Now, I don't want to have to re-affirm all this over and over--if you have a specific question, ask. Otherwise, let's get on with the business of psychedelia. There are other websites that facilitate political exchange. This one is (or should be--sorry!) for psychedelic sharing. I have learned my lesson. To be honest, I was thinking of leaving. I could just be a 'lurker'. But, something is keeping me here. I would like to be accepted and want to share some, too. thank you, Ellis

And BTW, Bush sucks.

Hi Ellis,

A lot of us are pretty sensitive about this topic, and obviously it can lead to inflated, almost partisan opinions where people unfairly assume if you have a certain stance on one thing then you must believe this and this and this as well. This is the problem with these things... and is why I believe in separating people from politics as much as possible.

Anyway while I don't agree with a lot of America's current policies, I certainly don't hate the country. It is a beautiful country I have enjoyed visiting when I can, and I have likewise met many wonderful and beautiful people I respect in the States. So welcome to the forum.. and have a good trip.

Me too. What I haven't agreed with up until now, however is your statements contradict. How can you be the biggest boy (having the biggest army) and have a minimal government? Wouldn't this be a dangerous situation where the biggest boy wants to go out and play, while the government isn't strong enough to keep him in? And how can you, as an individual, express yourself if there is no form of social network (not based on monetary relationships like in capitalism)? Wouldn't a strong basis of education/health care/food/housing for all be the best way to give everybody the best opportunities to express themselves and achieve? There are more shades between capitalism and socialism than you imagine here, don't you think? Furthermore, it is an historical fact that capitalism can only exist in a strong state with heavy regulation and legislation. How do you connect capitalism to a minimal state?

Just asking for some clarification...

Guys , i know i`m not usualy the one to call for arguments to be ended without total death and destruction but if we dont break the circle now things are going to spiral down into another world war 3 .

No, good questions. I'll respond. I was in jail once for the night, and there was this big guy who demanded no-one fuck around. No-one did, and he was a good guy. I believe conceptually, a military could assume that role. (at least a rogue nation would think twice before attacking someone stronger---things are different now these days, though. A lot of aggression is perpetuated by non-states) However, man the way he is, always messes up things. It wouldn't work out that way forever. But, what would the alternative be? Be at some one else's mercy/word? In the USA there is a saying,"Outlaw guns, and only outlaws have guns". After all, they're already breaking the rules. (In the USA, there are a few 'right to carry' states. They have the least violent crime. So it has a big deterrent incentive.)
And you're right. There are shades in between capitalism and socialism and the best course would be a bit of a hybrid of the two. I lean conservatively, meaning basically resistant to change. Resistant, not against. If something is working, I tend to not want to fix it. Digital audio, for example. Everybody was in a rush to embrace a new technology, (some for the sake of it being 'new'), I held out with a nice analog rig. However, they perfected a lot of the early deffiencies and now I embrace it. I am an engineer, so I'm always looking for a better, more efficient way. But, some things are best left alone to work how they are; the wheel, the hammer.
I believe society should definitely not turn thier back on the elderly or mentally incapable, but 'universal' health care doesn't seem to work, either. There is no incentive to save, or be efficient, without sacrificing needed service.
Finally, you should be free to do anything you like as long as it doesn't harm someone else. I hope I answered your questions. This is a nice exchange.

Let me ask you one. If there were no guns, and no military, how would you deal with an aggressive/violent neighbor? Submission? Just asking.

Ellis , are you a masochist ? Youve lost every exchange in this thread so far . A lot of what you say contradicts itself . For instance you talk about a big guy who enforced peace in prison . So the only conclusion from that is that the rest of the world should arm itself and wipe america off the face of the earth to ensure world peace .

You say the same thing with if something is working dont fix it . The only conclusion to that is trhat the rest of the world needs to fix america . The wheel is round and rolls , the hammer fullfills its function . America doesnt , its a total flop . Whos going down hill , whos hated around the world , why does no one trust america and whos fault is all that ? Its 100% americas fault for the position its in .

You say universal health care doesnt seem to work . How can you say that ? Where has there ever been universal health care ? What do you mean by that ? Your talking in generalisations , empty political slogans .

"There is no incentive to save, or be efficient, without sacrificing needed service. "

That makes no sense at all . What incentive is there for people to save or work hard if needed services are gping to be sacrificed ?

"Finally, you should be free to do anything you like as long as it doesn't harm someone else."

So another reason for the world to ex america .

As for your last question . Who wants to give up any chance of defending themselves ? No one . But what america calls defending itself the rest of the world calls paranoia , mass murder and genocide . Attacking inocent people / countrys isnt defending yourself . Its the cause of a lot of americas problems .

Please stop this . Your just talking yourself in circles repeating obsolete confused political propoganda slogans .

???

Because of that "right to carry", USA is the country with the most murders by firearms, with, if I remember well, is over 10 times that of Canada (wasn't it even more? at least I know the difference was incredible).

Less violent crimes, maybe, but crimes are more violent, more often resulting in death.

So you think that the only way to solve a conflict is to threaten the other with a gun?

EllisDee a dit:
'universal' health care doesn't seem to work, either.
If by that you mean free health care to everyone, we have that here and it's working perfectly.

I don't want to talk politics.

Ask one of the guys from Canada how thier medical system is working. I wanted to stop talking politics and talk psychedelia--but he asked me some questions.
The reason I BELIEVE universal health care doesn't work is there is no incentive to save. If you had to pay for everything yourself, you would shop, get the best price, and weigh the service you are receiving. But if everything is free, you go no matter what. Someone else is paying for it. Then the system is overburdened and they start cutting corners. Also, when the government pays for your medical, they start imposing restrictions and of course, quality goes down. (for instance, if you smoke, no heart operation--then that spreads to the elderly, next thing ya know, they won't help you because you're a drunk driver). If cars were given away by the government, everybody would drive a Mercedes. Of course, insurance companies start ripping people off. But the beauty of capitalism is a new, young company could start and prosper by being cheaper and genuinely caring. I am keeping this civil and am genuinely interested in what you guys think. And I agree, America is fucked up right now. I want to be strong, and healthy. It works.

Yes. If a guy breaks into my home while I'm sleeping to do me and/or my family harm, I would want to be armed. That is a simple concept. It's like the computer, once the genie is out of the bottle, you can never go back. We will never be an analog society again. Once guns have proliferated, there is no going back. Criminals don't turn them in for free flowers or something.

Don't take this wrong, it is a joke. But it could be illustrative.
