Company That Manufactured Shoes Thrown at Bush Employs 100 Extra Staff to Cope With Demand
Turkey: Baydan Shoes, the company that manufactured the shoes thrown at US President George W. Bush, has employed an additional 100 workers to handle the tens of thousands of international orders that have been placed.
The shoes thrown were Model 271, a lightweight shoe that company representatives insist wouldn't have inflicted serious injury if they had hit. Model 271 has been renamed 'Bye Bye Bush'.
"We saw it on videos and also in newspapers. We have been producing this shoe for 10 years, so know it very well and we can recognise them anywhere," said the company's export representative, Oner Bogatekin.
Cool.
