Relaxing while tripping?

I tried diphenhydramine a couple weeks ago and I have to say I got pretty scared. Besides weed, what will calm me down? I plan to do dimenhydrinate soon, which is similar or the same from what I hear. Suggestions that I can buy at CVS or something would be great. The closest thing I can think of is valerian but that doesn't really affect me much. Thanks.

Diphenhydramine is simply allergy medication, an antihistamine... in fact, a side effect that many people get is a feeling of being relaxed and sleepy. Maybe you shouldn't do anything stronger, like smoke pot or trip on shrooms, you might freak out and become psychotic... start trippin' and never come down... especially if a mild antihistamine that you can buy over the counter at any corner drug store affects you so dramatically. Wow!
