I have read some reports of these methods being a bit more pleasant than smoking. Two things I have noticed that seem to have been left out of these reports are the profuse sweating and uncontrollable laughter. I was wondering if anyone experienced these effects with quid or tincture?

Sweating can arise also with quid and tincture. Don't know for the laughting (never happened whatever the method used). Sweating is not a big deal anyway. Salvia is also very diuretic.

I don't really find either unpleasant, I was just curious. I find it amazing you have never experienced the laughing! About 1 out of 3 of my trips are just laughing so hard I cant even breath. It can make you feel really fantastic afterwards.

So am I :? !

The only friend who tried it with me experienced it at the first time. But whatever the dose, I can even not imagine laughing under Salvia. And I am very sensitive to it. This is maybe the reason, I become unable to move quite quickly.

I've only had one successful trip with the quid method (1 for 3) and it is probably because I'm not in the right headspace to do salvia these days. Anyway I've never gotten feelings of giddiness from salvia, and only gotten the sweating when smoking it..

But I certainly felt fantastic the day after. Salvia on occasion really refreshes my body. I plan to try the quid method again maybe this summer, in the outdoors...

It's pretty weird that some of you feel refreshed after smoking salvia. I quit experimenting with it because every time I come down from it I feel totally hollow and I'd like to kill myself instantly. It somehow triggers a really bad depression in me. It doesn't last long, but long enough so that I really do not want to do Salvia anymore.

When tripping, instead of the laughing I always got a feeling of pointless boredom. Really annyoing, despite the interesting visuals. It's just not for me, I guess!

Wow, sounds like a good reason not to do it.

It supposedly has antidepressant properties. That doesn't necessarily mean it will help your depression, if it acts on certain receptors, it probably will make some people feel worse instead of better.

We really know nothing about the effects and mechanisms of salvia compared to other psychedelics, not that we really know all that much about the traditional ones anyway..

edit: I see this is being discussed in other threads as well..
