Namasté – The Arc of Goa at Queensnight
The majestic Arc of Goa is ready to lift the anchor once again, to set sail to the orange horizon and beyond. All friends, lovers and family aboard, as Namasté continues the Queensnight ritual on the waters surrounding the NDSM Wharf in Amsterdam. Be prepared, once more, for a fantastic adventure on which you will connect to all world cultures, dancing and trancing on the vibes of the ocean while the 3 castes on this arc will be filled with love and light.
At the 29th of April 2008, Caste 1 is the crown at the Arc of Goa with deep Progressive, hallucinating Psytrance and Full On which is being swung over the deck in a passionate way. Musical magicians like the English live-acts Tristan (Twisted Records, UK) and Flip Flop (Alchemy Records, UK) and turntable wizards Riches & Saaf (Universo Paralello, Flow Records, NL), Zen (Psykick, NL), Kriya (Namasté, NL) and Bart & Johnny Stardust (Namasté, NL) guide you on a journey alongside black holes and pulsating supernovas at the other of the horizon, where the party is starting lively.
Also this time, Caste 2 is the centre of world music; Folk Balkan singing and traditional Gypsy wind-instrument orchestras on an energetic Trance-beat. Kareem Raihani (NL), PolyEsta (Ruigoord Cosmic / Combination, NL), Tommy ‘Enter your Center’ (Namasté, NL), Hoppa Collective (No-J Edo, NL) and the Balkanbeat company Branko Galoic & Skakavac Orchestra open a treasury filled with festive sounds and an ultra danceable mix of trumpet, tuba and trombone on a melodic blanket of accordion and guitar.
Of course a jewel like The Chaishop can’t be absent on the Arc of Goa. In Caste 3 this diverse collective of talented musicians from all over the world will let Spanish, Chilean, Iranian, African and Indian cultures melt together. Sit back and relax during the indulgent team play of Osiriste (soundscapes, TR), Gil Lopez (flamenco guitar, steel string, NL), Robbert van Hulzen (percussion, NL), Praful (sax, flute, reeds, NL) and Jina Sumedi (keyboard, NL) and feel like you are in the living room of a close, warm family; The Family of Namasté.
In between the Chaishop live-jams, one can dream away with the sounds of the mystical Clan of SPeace academy. Kriya (Clan of SPeace, NL), Psy Wizard (Elf, NL) and Ambient Pierre (Clan of SPeace, NL) expose the spiritual soul of Namasté with their intergalactic Chill Out, Dub, Triphop, World Music and other Ambidelic sounds which seem to be coming from a world which is not ours.
All ingredients are present to celebrate an enthusiastic Queensnight this year on the glorious Arc of Goa, where various world cultures, side by side, flare up in the night like dancing stars.
