My mushrooms

Here is a picture of the top of my one cake. They've definitely got to be the mushrooms. I still think it's odd that they're growin' on the top first though, there was barely any mycelium on the top at all..and they started growin' just after a day of being in the terrarium.

Crap..I found some green mold on my other cake. Is there any way that I can scrape this off, then do somethin' to prevent it to come back?? Or should this cake be disposed of??

Just gently cut it off ! The green infection is the most common.

Well..I did cut it off, but it grows back in the same place, and the place surrounding it. I had to cut the cake in half, 'cause it kept gettin' infected. Is there another procedure I could do after cuttin' it off, so that the mold does not return??

ah ah ! your cake will die soon! feel the pain of seeing your cultures dying, as i did! BUT i saw a solution on the shroomery that involves spraying some stuff on it , but i don t remember,fuck! i just went to the shroomery to look for the page i told about and i just saw the site has been rebuild !
you can search in it , that was on an "advanced" forum about contaminations, that seemed intersting but i couldn t get the chemicals so i didn t tried

Ahahaha..it's funny that you say that, 'cause last night I went there to look for info on this, and I saw that the site was rebuilt and found absolutely no information even close to useful. You made me sad by sayin' that they're goin' to die. So far they look ok since I cut them in half. If i get one flush from these, that'll be fine. If I see mold comin' near where the mushies are growin' I'll pick them immediately. I really want to try a new type of mushies, so hopefully luck is on my side for a change.

i still can t find it , listen : when a culture is comtaminated you have to throw it away systematiquely, and then try again until success , also if a mushroom grow on a comtaminated substrate , do not eat it because even if the comtaminated parts are far from the shrooms , the may have sent toxins to them , some comtaminants are deadly !
or you can find a "test subject" , héhé !
