My first Time growing Shrooms!

The colonised rye lays under the casing. These days are used as a kind of pre casing days (or as after colonisation days).

The mycelium has to grow through the casing layer. WHen mycelium is to be seen on the casing layer, and in one casing it is already, it is time to take the foil away and let light and humidity do the rest.

When mycelium has coverd the casing I will add a pic of it on this board. Just wait for some more days.

You have some professional equipment down there ! Why do you need light for growing mushrooms, mushrooms need only a little bit of leaking daylight to grow isn't it ?

I start growing after my snowboard-holliday next week...

Light is there to heat up the area to 21 degree C. It is only a 7 watt lamp zo it is not much. The room is very cold in which they should grow.
Using a small auquarium that all, so no proffi stuff at all!!!

Are you going to eat all the mushrooms yourself?? Are you going to drie them or use it fresh?? It's to much I guess for you and your dear girlfriend.....(when are you going to marry her anyway??)

Q: What I am going to do with all those shrooms?
A: First let pray for the shrooms to get out of the mycelium.

Q: To dry?
A: I suppose so yes, it is realy to much to consume at once. I will try a cold drying techniek trying to keep the shrooms as potent as can be!

All for me and my girlfriend? I can not help it but I seem to have some friends 2, and maybe they would like to enjoy he shrooms 2.

What would be very nice? To sell some in order to invest in some Shroomey stuff which will lead to a some more proffesional setup and bigger yield of different species (I have seen some beautifull stuff).

Within a few month I am starting an outdoor shroom project in our garden. Ready to pick in fall. I think it will be the Azurences (very nice and very potent). This will hopefully be a paralel project with Grimoire (also know from this board).

Q: When do you get married?
A: We planned in the middle of August, but we do not specificly know the date. This will arise in our minds the coming weeks.

Latest shroom-news:
The 2 casings which are opened are covered with mycelium ( so beautifull to see this almost lightning white taking over). The 3rd casing (coldest) is showing mycelium growth. I did some expirimenting in casing thickness and temperatures (just for knowlegde).
Accourding to the shroomrules the pinheads will occur in a few days which will lead to mature shrooms in lets say a week.
And new jars are inoculated.

I found the vermiculite. When you see the picture of it below, it seems to be obvious that most garden centres don't know what vermiculite is.

I searched the web for the difference between perlite and vermiculite and there are almost no differences. It has the same properties.

Ovenbags are at Blokkers I think. Shell we make an joint call for spores of the azurences on the Shr....

Today I counted 8 pinheads. The biggest is 1 cm. A lot of others are forming. This means that I don't have an even pinset, but who gives a damm.

Shrooms are coming , I feel good no one is gonna stop me know......

In the other casings whit pinheads are also forming, many and many!

Even my cake jar has finally show spores of mycelium, it seemed that it was sleeping for 3 weeks or so.
