can anyone tell me when shrooms will be out this year in the uk?

Any time now pretty much. I have already seen other species which grow along side them in my back garden and its wet and cold so get out and have a look. Make sure you pick the right ones http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f4/Psilocybe.semilanceata.Alan.jpg check this link showing the british variety they will be at higher altitudes this early on grassy fields with sheep horses or cows.

My friend found a load the other day on a recon wander high up the mountain on sheep fields. Give it a week or two they'll be about.
