I can't give you an answer as I'm not a specialist, but when I saw your topic's title, I read "Moral dilemma", clicked on it, and then saw your first photography and thought "Omfg ?!? Is this a dick ??? Talk about a dilemma "

Morels are very expensive, gourmet, eating mushrooms. The stems are not nearly that long and the bulbous top is supposed to be a lot bigger and a dark brown/ black color ( less shlong-like). My mom used to grow them much the same way I grow my shrooms. She would sell hers for even bigger bucks down at the local farmer's market.

What you have there could be a deformed morel but I sure as hell wouldn't eat it. No morel is psychoactive.

Still a cool lookin shroom though.

Looks like Morchella Vulgaris.
Of coruse that's just a guess, I'm no specialist.
Afaik: there aint no psychoactive morels, (all/most? morels species are editable, but only if cooked well).
So no.
Note: Morchellaceae can be easily confused with the species Helvellaceae.
(false morel), most of them are poisonous.

It's either a delicious or poisionos snack, but not psychoactive.
Recommandation: dont eat it.

I don't know if this is a morel - the cap does look like one, but that's only from an amateur point of view.
All I know is that morels are the most delicious edible mushrooms on earth. My mom can make morel cream sauce that I would die for
However if you want to eat morels, just buy them on the market, then you're safe!
