Hey I just have a quick question is E considered a psychedelic? Ive heard of people having visuals while on it but it seems to me to be more of a stimulant for some reason im not really considering trying it or anything i like to stick to mother natures wonderful substances personally but the question just kinda popped into my head

I've also heard of it being a psychedelic, but from my knowledge it is a Euphoric Empathogen; Stimulant; Phenethylamine<<<from erowids lol...Also good choice to stick to the "natural" drugs that mother nature has to offer. :D

Well saying that, an ecstasy high or trip is in fact a serotonin one, thus it is natural; only its method of mass secretion and reuptake is not. The experience itself, for someone who has done X quite a bit, is defiantly psychedelic! It encompasses all of those other aspects such as euphoria, stimulation and empathy but it also can trigger massive introspection and connection on whole new levels with yourself and others. This is dependant on the set and setting like all other psychedelics to achieve this range of effect; for if you are at a club, you have little time for deep personal realisation and connection with others, although the second is quite possible at social events, just not on the same scale.

I have hallucinated a few times from taking ecstasy but this could have been either the large dose of MDMA that was administered or the fact that the pills I took so vigorously at that point were cut with MDA or possibly some other more visual substance. Yet the serotonin trip itself has a deep change in ones perception and is defiantly linked to other tryptamine psychedelics in its effects.

Peace.

Visually not at all. A haze sight is reported by some. But the euphoria, empathy, warmth and solid inner peace and love feelings that circle through your mind are. The enthogenic effects of the first E's are immense and earth-shaking!

The amphetamine component makes sure you just have to sit/dance and enjoy and no trip steering or experience is required. It's truly linear.

MDA however, is known for causing hallucinations, which can be added to 'inpure pills', also 7% of MDMA is changed to MDA in the brain. Which implies that if one is using a lot of MDMA, he might have build up enough MDA in his blood to have a noticeable effect of it.

Brugmansia; cheers for that insight, it explains why I had such vivid visions whilst on MDMA; the overuse of the pill, thus conversion of a large component into MDA. My visuals were defiantly pronounced and organic; I saw swarms of butterflies and the like and walls seemed to communicate with me in some non verbal language, whilst breathing .
I can’t recall the specific details because it’s been a while since then but it was awesome. I also get the Haze effect and boundary dissolution (scale repression) whilst on an MDMA independent experience with a 250mg pill (high quality product). I wouldn’t suggest going anything like this on a regular basis though, it could severely damage your receptor sites and the breakdown of dopamine can cause toxicity (sodium hydroxide poisoning)
Im only using in 3 or more month blocks at a time (at the most).

Peace.

I did massive, massive doses for around one and a half years, of extremely pure mdma. I have some receptor problems, but relative to what I gained, I gladly accept the trade-off.

There are multiple levels the whole 'x' experience can be taken to.
The empathogen effects are low dose responses, ala shulgin. Not to say they aren't there with higher doses, but the other stuff overwhelms the more subtle shades. As already mentioned, the conversion of mdma ro mda in the liver via demethylation make for a hallucinogenic experience if you're taking a lot.
We did it about once a week for around two days per session. I'm talking start fri night and stop sunday afternoon. One long session.
Thats about thirty hours or so, continual. I don't know other people who did it this way. You only experience mdma for the first few hours, then it's all mda-type. Hallucination city.
Since I was making it at the time, I had enough to take as much as I liked. 300 doses was costing me about 20 bucks....
You would reach a titration zone with it, where you could take a pill
every few hours, and stay in that space a long, long time....obviously, once the blood serum level reaches a certain point, taking a pill periodically is outrunning your bodies ability to metabolize it.

There are FAR more experiences in that area than what I've read on the net.

But there has to be HIGH doses, and everyone has a different capacity for these things so I cant sat I'd advise everyone to do that.

always has been considered a psychedelic. its a classified psychoactive.

hallucinogenic effects are rare but they do happen.

most of it is internal psychedelia.

fun stuff. my favorite of all the psychedelics :)

I myself don't consider MDMA a psychedelic. It's too one-sided for that. And yes, visuals do occur, but rarely do they mean anything. If combined with shrooms or acid, it can, however, potentiate the psychedelic and make the trip easier (with low doses), because your muscles can relax with MDMA and the nervousness before a trip evaporates.

On my point of view, MDMA is not a psychedelic, but it can cause very very deep introspection. And when i say deep, I mean it ;)
