Making a mushroom tea from caps only, will this work?

I recently moved out to live on my own and had to pack all my stuff. I found a big ziplock bag full whit caps only, I don't why I had these.
Now I'm thinking of making a tea of them.
Will this give any effect beside an upset stomache from the spores?

Ive read that caps can be up to 30% more potent then stems. so yes, your deffinatly good to go.
