Last Friday me and a friend had a H.B woodrose session. We discussed the trip and the effects of LSA. I like LSA, it gives me a very light psychedelic trip. My friend did not like it, for him it wasn't psychedelic at all.
So what are you're experience with H.B woodrose or Morning Glory's. :?:

I've never liked LSA. It makes me some kind of apathic and woozy and I don't like it

I have had a profound experience with HBWR. I did not enjoy the effects at all, but I did learn a lot. Most of the time I thought I was poisioned and was going to die, proabably why I learnt a lot about myself. After about 4 hours, I was getting complete open-eye hallunications. Time was out of order, and space no longer existed. The next day I still felt shitty, unlike after waking from a Mushroom experience and feeling great and refreshed! I do not plan on repeating the experience ever again, as I remember someone on this forum saying it's Ergot poisioning, and very bad for your health. I will just stick to Mushrooms! :D

LSA is Ergine. i never heard of lsa poisoning. Do you have any info on this??? if it's true i need to know it.

I'll try to look for it, but it was someone who posted it in the forum, I'm not sure where they got the information from.

EDIT:

LSA (Rivea corymbosa, Argyreia nervosa, Ipomea violacea, Convolvulus&Stictocardia) is highly toxic psydelic! In fact low or mild hallucinations are last and rare side effects of ergine poisoning! Ergine contracts uterus causing miscarriage, hard pissing in men! It also produce slowness, numbness, apathy, nausea, sight improvement, lasting euphoria after 4 hours from ingestion.
THIS IS NOTHING ELSE THAN POISONOUS SHIT AND MY ADVICE IS AVOID THIS QUASI DRUG! Yes it is cheap and legal but why? You got answer!

I looked for some information. this is what i found.

This is what it says: There is a definite lack of consensus as to the extent of toxicity associated with the various types of LSA containing seeds available. It is probably safe to say, however, that all LSA containing seeds are 'poisonous' and that the extent of poisoning varies by strain, batch and dose level; but no one really knows to what extent.

The toxicity is generally thought to be due to alkaloids within the seeds themselves, and particularly the outer husks. It is thought that these vary not only by type of seed, but also from plant to plant and even seed to seed (within the same package). Accordingly, selecting five seeds at random on two separate occasions from the same pack may cause very different levels of toxicity.

It is the opinion of many seasoned recreational users that all such seeds contain cyanogenic glucosides. These oxidise readily into cyanide compounds when exposed to the air. In low doses, the body can eventually rid itself of such poisons, but inadvertently taking higher doses can result in symptoms (in no particular order) such as nausea, bluing of the fingers, body load, stomach cramps, leg cramps, vascular constriction, blood vessel damage, elevated heart rate, strong physical and mental lethargy.

There are references to cyanogenic glucosides in other more familiar seeds - such as apple and watermelon - but there appears to be no definitive source for LSA containing seeds. Some of the above symptoms may, of course, actually be caused by the action of the LSA itself.

Some sources also suggest that some seeds may also contain trace elements of strychnine and others suggest that the nausea sometimes associated with the seeds is caused by essential oils within the seeds, but this is generally hearsay. It is also suggested that toxicity may influence the trip level - and there has been much recent debate about this in relation to the inherent efficacy of LSA containing seeds in cluster headache.

It is also believed that for like-for-like dose levels (not seed to seed), Morning Glory seeds are probably more toxic than HBWR, and Rivea Corymbosa are the least toxic..........

I don't know what to make of all this.
Should i stop taking HBWR seeds.
I got the seeds from a smartshop. The smartshop guy didn't know anything about these seeds. (that say's something about this smartshop. it also sells sextoys)

I agree mushrooms are way better. I tried the HBWR and liked it. I always took it alone. Last friday i did it with this friend.
I don't like the taste of HBWR. when i drink the filtration it gives me shivers. Thinking about drinking it gives me shivers.
So what should i do :?:

So what should i do

I don't know, it's your choice. I personally am just staying away from them. Maybe do an extraction so you get pure LSA? or close to pure...

LSA is not only ergine. There are various LSAs, not a single one.

LSA contain seeds have a couple of sideeffects, never so strong if you stay withing the recommended dosage, but their combined psychedelic and afterwards sedative character might be helpful to some's approach towards psychedelic insight, psychoanalysis etc.

Morning glory / HBWR has helped me get into psychedelics - an easy to obtain material that you don't have to know a dealer to get hold of, and is cheap (got 300 HBWR for about £10-15).

the experience for me are intense, with more of a philosophical edge than visual distortion, although there was a very strong visual element when I tried 15 HBWR :) musics seems distorted in an amasing way if I choose to play it (sometimes I want to remove myself from worldly things, so avoid anything that would ground me to reality.

as for "toxicity" I'm going to give my opinion and let you decide for yourself if it makes sense:

The only adverse pysiological symptoms directly linked to the LSA's is a slight loss of circulation in the extremities. The nausea usually experienced is removed with treatment of seeds with a non-polar solvent - whats being removed is lipids - essential oils that irritate your stomach, If you've done the extraction, and left the non-polar solvent out to evaporate, you get left with an acrid smelling oil (which makes me gag just by smelling it) - this is what is causing "toxicity" in my opinion, there are alot of oils in HBWR - 30 seed extract (which you cut to dose) produces enough oil to cover the bottom of a tin can.

it is much easier to scratch the coating of the HBWR with a knife, crushing the white interior into water and then drinking it. no nausea.
there are people who burn it, never tried it myself.

I scraped and burned the rest off, still very intense naseua.

burn it? wouldn't that destroy LSAs ? :o

Pariah, have you tried other LSA vines seeds?

^ I would imagine, as long as the burning is limited to the outside, for a short period, the lsa wouldn't be harmed... but I'll still stick with my opinion that it's the oils doing the nausea, the whole cyanogenic glycosides thing would be a very small effect, and I've had no problems removing the fuzz that contains them by hand... without resorting to flaming (which, lets face it is a little harsh).

I've consumed Ipomoea tricolor (heavenly blue) seeds several times, but I don't bother doing extractions on them - for tricolor trips I use 100-150 seeds crushed, soaked and consumed. sometime soon I'll be doing a bioassay on Ipomoea purpurea, using gram equivelents to 100 tricolor seeds, to see how / if significantly psychoactive effects occur.

For high doses I use HBWR chemical extracts.

I'll probably get round to trying Rivea corymbosa, in the future, but I have the Ipomoea comparison, and my Phalaris "projects" in the works, so probably no time soon.

what about you?

Pariah

Of the three Vines I only have HBWR once with 12 seeds [extraction] + 5 raw seeds, quite a liong story. It was successfull but not too overwhelming [much vomit, due to spoilt sweet wine which was part of the extraction TEK - the sweet wine, not the spoilt sweet wine !!! :P].

I have also sitted for other's HBWR XP

I plan on trying my fresh MG {tricolor} [harvested this winter]. And I am growing all three of them. Why try another Ipomoea, I say go for Turbina ;)

I was also thinking of ingesting half my own fresh MG seeds plus some turbina seeds - then I would have fresh Ipomoea alone... So I am propably going for the fresh ones. Its is currently planned with a close friend of mine..
