Hi,
Can someone give info on growing lowryders?
Does the speed of production (9 weeks from seed to joint) balance the reduced harvest?
Is its high a downer?

My wife first read about lowryder and informed me of it. Normally she wouldn't let me grow weed at our place, but she said maybe we could grow some of this shit when we move out of our current city dwelling. Maybe two weeks after I first heard about it, my associate tells me that he has come across a large quantity of "lowryder" ( around these parts you have to take everything with a grain of salt ). So I buy an ounce for $250 because it looked like something new and had a very pleasant smell. The high was anything but a downer, quite the upper actually. It was one of those buds I like to smoke right after breakfast. I can't say for sure if it actually was lowryder but it was better than anything that had been around here for a while. It disappeared very quickly and I was never able to get another ounce.
I will try growing some in a few months though.

Ok, but what this plant is about is its:
-small height (~50cm)
-autoflowering (2 months total time)

I've decided to give it a try based on the small height of the plant (conceivability) and, hopefuly, its little odor.
I wanted to have some growing tips and more importantly comments of its high because its the only aspect of this variety never or little discussed about.

Isn't weed simply legal there? From what I've been reading a few months ago. Mexico's policy was very alike from the Dutch "tolerance" policy.

Except for the MDMA part.

The last time I was in Mexico ( 2 years ago ) I was with my cousin in my beat up VW bus driving down a very long straight highway when we came to a traffic stop. Well the cops made us get out of the van while they searched it for no apparent reason. They tell us everything seems fine and to be on our way. Well, I had been to Mexico as a gringo before and I was wise.( the time before, I watched from a restaurant while a cop stole my license plate then wanted $20 to give it back ) We look around the van and sure enough, we find a quarter ounce of some brown shit weed underneath a back seat. Well, before we get to the next roadblock ( no turn-offs on this road ) we smoke the whole thing. At the next cop-stop they make us get out of the van while they search for what their buddies down the road had planted on us. Just before they open the glovebox my cousin shouts " If you're looking for that crappy dirt weed; we smoked all of it!"

We went to jail and were released 2 hours later after paying $100 a piece plus $60 to get my car back PLUS $20 to buy back my god damn license plate.
I love Mexico but the cops are fucking criminals.

Mexican cops are usually bribed on the spot, then they go + they take the drugs w/ them
They can be friendly sometimes, offering you a free lift in their cop-car to the nearest ATM. The "fine", for rational quantities, varies between 100 to 1000 pesos (10-100 Euro) depending on how well-off u appear to be.
I doubt the decriminalisation for posession/use of weed will make the police stop asking for money.
