Is this extraction any good?

I just found this extraction tec by accident (I guess you all read it before)

and wondered if this was any good. It seems relatively easy to do, but somehow it seems a bit too easy for my taste. Am I wrong?

I've done a two-step LSA extraction once using naphta. It was fairly easy for a non-chemist. I always thought dmt would be harder to extract.

The new consensus is that you don't even need to use acid to remove the DMT in a water solution. (which makes sense, ayahuasca doesn't)

To be safe tho some use vinegar, or a weak acid with little residue (i.e. lemon juice has residue).

So reall all you need to do is let your specimen containing DMT sit in warm NaOH (Adding NaOH to water to a pH of 13 will warm the water enough) for about 2-3 days. (1 day if you're in a hurry)

Then just add enough naptha, about 1/4 the volume of the basic solution (citation needed on this)

Shake vigourously till your arms get tired, let sit for 1-2 hours, or until completely seperated, and take your naptha out.

DMT and LSA extraction are the exact same procedure. They are both alkaloids that would rather be in a non-polar solvent than a pH 13 solvent. (citation needed on this too)

Althouhg "LSA" a stands for acid, so I may be wrong - LSA may be easy enough for a hot water extraction... I don't know. Have fun

Hmmm, that sounds good. Maybe I'm gonna try the dmt extraction then.

The LSA extraction worked quite well, but I didn't like the physical effects too much, so I wouldn't bother again. But dmt, hmmmm, yum!!!!

This is a STB tek (straight to base) I think the A/B Tek is older. It will work fine. This extraction is faster and more simple but you need more base and petroleum-ether, you probably have more problems with emuslions too and have to do more work at the end to purify your product.

You also have to no more then this, for example, when working with strong basic solutions, you can't let the mixture let in the glass for a long time cause the glass will break after a while. Better use HDPE = PE-HD (triangle with number 2). Also when using a pan, you can not use aluminium with basic and acidic solutions.

lsa is more of a mental high, where as lsd has both a mental high and a visual high
