Easy non toxic extractiom from phalaris

The area i live in has tons of phalaris aquatica growing everywhere, especially near my house, and i'v read a lot of methods using chemicals i would rather avoid...(napha) iv read that water with a ph of 5 can work and then be evaporated, but that doesn't seem like enough extracting at all, is there another process should try after that? maybe an alcohol extraction and re evaporation? please let me know asap because the summer will be over soonish and i'v read heat increases alkaloid production
