I'm talking about the real dirty southern New Orleans jazz that makes you happy as can be. If you like that stuff, what are some of your favorite songs and performers?

And to anyone who is from New Orleans, is it as affluent in that area as I imagine it? What's it like to live in an area with so much musical beauty?

I do love that stuff. The 'Chronological Classics' Series has a bunch of my favorites.
Mostly stride piano and jazzy stuff. I like where it starts to blend into space age pop and quirky, weirdo stuff like that as well.
