Drugs - Aspartame
'Coca-Cola has reformulated the Mexican version of Coca-Cola Zero by removing artificial sweetener sodium cyclamate, revealed media reports. The artificial sweetener has been replaced with a combination of two other artificial sweeteners, aspartame and acesulfame-K. New bottles and cans of Coca-Cola Zero carry the words 'without cyclamate' in Spanish.'

Does Diet Soda Make You Gain Weight? (Yes, it does)
Drugs - Aspartame

Diet CHOCK

'In a recent study at Purdue University, rats that were fed saccharin-sweetened yogurt ate more and gained more weight compared to rats that were fed glucose-sweetened yogurt. Some researchers, including those involved with this study, say that this effect translates to humans too, according to a Los Angeles Times article.

RealityPortal, thanks for all your contributions, but since this topic doesn't have that much to do with the focus of this forum, I'm placing this post in another category.

I'm not sure about that actually... This is a type of DRUG that is so commonly used, that people tend to believe it's harmless. But that is far from the truth...

Actually this is not WAR ON DRUGS but a WAR WITH DRUGS. And this is WAR AGANST HUMANITY created by warmonger Donald Rumsfeld him self. I beleive it's important that people get a broad base info regarding all drugs.

HOW ASPARTAME BECAME LEGAL - Timeline from Rense
http://www.rense.com/general33/legal.htm

In 1985 Monsanto purchased G.D. Searle, the chemical company that held the patent to aspartame, the active ingredient in NutraSweet. Monsanto was apparently untroubled by aspartame's clouded past, including a 1980 FDA Board of Inquiry, comprised of three independent scientists, which confirmed that it "might induce brain tumors."

The FDA had actually banned aspartame based on this finding, only to have Searle Chairman Donald Rumsfeld (currently the Secretary of Defense) vow to "call in his markers," to get it approved.

On January 21, 1981, the day after Ronald Reagan's inauguration, Searle re-applied to the FDA for approval to use aspartame in food sweetener, and Reagan's new FDA commissioner, Arthur Hayes Hull, Jr., appointed a 5-person Scientific Commission to review the board of inquiry's decision.

It soon became clear that the panel would uphold the ban by a 3-2 decision, but Hull then installed a sixth member on the commission, and the vote became deadlocked. He then personally broke the tie in aspartame's favor. Hull later left the FDA under allegations of impropriety, served briefly as Provost at New York Medical College, and then took a position with Burston-Marsteller, the chief public relations firm for both Monsanto and GD Searle. Since that time he has never spoken publicly about aspartame.

Before reading this article everyone should hear James Turner, Atty, explain how Don Rumsfeld called in his markers to get aspartame, a deadly chemical poison approved when the FDA said no: http://www.soundandfury.tv/pages.Rumsfeld2.html The entire film can be gotten at http://www.docworkers.com

Among the many ironies of our modern world is that Gerald Ford awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom-America,s highest civilian honor-to Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on January 19, 1977. Just a few weeks later on March 8, Rumsfeld became the CEO of G.D. Searle to take point on a mission to force the Food and Drug Administration to approve for human consumption a known carcinogen and neurotoxic poison.

Mission accomplished: Today some 9,000 commonly consumed products are laced with this weapon of mass misery and millions of people live with chronic illnesses linked to the artificial sweetener aspartame. It is our belief at The Idaho Observer that if some guy named Parkinson can have a disease named after him, then Donald Rumsfeld ought to have his own disease, too. Hence the term Rumsfeld disease A.

Disaster Of Global Proportions

Today, Donald Rumsfeld is known throughout the world as the zealous U.S. Secretary of Defense who is waging a global "war on terror" in search of "terrorists" and "weapons of mass destruction." Most people, however, are not aware that Rumsfeld himself unleashed a chemical weapon of mass destruction upon the world in 1981-and it,s still out there destroying people all over the world. That "WMD" is aspartame and it has been scientifically and anecdotally linked to millions of chronic illnesses and deaths.

The evidence shows that, with full knowledge of aspartame,s neurotoxicity and carcinogenicity, Rumsfeld, as the CEO of G.D.

Searle, Co., "called in his markers" to achieve U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for the artificial sweetener aspartame, better known by its trade name "NutraSweet."

That's pretty common knowledge amongst farmers. Since the '70ies Saccharin is used in the feeding of pigs because they eat more when they get Saccharin.

You can check it out yourself if you don't mind eating at McDonalds. Get a large Coke and as many cheeseburgers as you think you can eat. Repeat the next day only get a large diet coke with the burgers - you'll see that you can eat at least one or two more burgers when you drink the diet coke.
I had a little weight-gain problem once (that is I was too skinny) that's why I tried it all (including weightlifting of course).
I just hope all the artificial sweeteners which I used as weight-gainers didn't give me cancer already... In the meantime I'm back to using normal sugar, and I try to cut that down as well.

Why would you drink sugars? :\ It passes your blood rapidly and contains lots of calories. It robs your teeth too.

I merely drink water. It's even better to consume fats than sugars since fats provide long-term energy while sugars leave the blood quickly.

If you want to know what sugars holding drinks really are, drink them on a 300 mcg LSD trip.
