Coffeeshops illegal in 2004 ?!?

is it just an stupid and conservativ idea to close the Coffeeshops in 2004 in the Netherlands or is it allready a fact that the Gouverment will closae them ???

Will be all selling of Cannabis be stopt (in Shops) ??

hi,
I'm happy to tell you the coffeeshops don't have to close but smoking (weed/tabaco) in shops won't be allowed after the first of januari 2004.
A result of this law is that many coffeeshops will disapere because you don't need a coffeeshop if you can't smoke there, you only need it to buy your stash then.

The ruling about non smoking in cafe's and coffee shops has been delayed until January 2005. And the Dutch government will have some new discussions about it at the end of 2003, so let's hope they will see the stupidity of this non-smoke rulings.
