Can't Keep Ayahuasca Down

Hello, I've done Ayahuasca twice now. Both were powerful trips, but not "deep-space" or life-altering. I want a transformative experience and am merely getting extremely intense visuals (CE and OE) for about an hour to two. I think it is because I am purging earlier than I should. I took about 12.5g of Mimosa Hostilis boiled down to a half-styrofoam cup worth, and some syrian rue. I don't think my preparation was wrong, because I definitely tripped, much harder than acid or mescaline, but it wasn't enough to go in deep and get past the body load after the purge. My technique may require a little finesse, but the next preparation will be much better.

I am worried about mixing it with something like pepto bismol or an antacid, because those might aggravate my stomach or dilute the effects. I am keeping to a MAOI diet and can still only keep the stuff down for 15 to 20 minutes.

My friend thinks capping the ayahuasca (with an eyedropper/pipette) will make it easier (he couldn't keep it down even as long as I did, and was unable to trip at all). I was wondering about boiling it down even further, to a shot glass or less. Maybe cannabis would help?

On a side note, does anyone have any experience with 5-MeO-DMT taken orally with a MAOI? I am interested in attempting this combination eventually, sometime after I try insuffulated and smoked 5-MeO-DMT. If you have had a good trip at from that, what would you recommend as a good dose?

25g of Mimosa Hostilis, shredded into a pot with about 4:1 water to vinegar. Boiled for about 30 minutes (I believe I should boil longer next time, because the third boil was still pretty red), at a low, simmering heat three times. The third boil is a full rolling boil. All three extractions are boiled down to about 12 fl oz. This is two doses. On a whim, threw 2g of syrian rue into the pot.

6g Syrian Rue boiled for 30 minutes until very yellow-green. Filtered, and this is two doses as well. There is about the same amount of Rue Tea as Mimosa Tea.

Rue tea is consumed 20 to 30 minutes before the Mimosa tea is. Gulping a large amount down is a very quick vomit, but the second time I took it slower and lasted a bit longer. After the purge, I generally take a tiny sip more, which always stays down and might be all that is causing the trip.

I think my preparation would benefit from a longer boiling period to strengthen the brew, but I am certain that keeping it down only 15 minutes is not going to result in as strong of a trip as keeping it down for 45 minutes to an hour (obvious). If there is any way I can settle my stomach or improve my preparation to make the drink less nauseating, I would appreciate it. I have no problems with the taste, although it is nasty. I thought about using more Mimosa so that I would need less drink, but since the stuff that makes you throw up is also extracted, I am doubtful that would work. Plus, I only have 25g left, and I don't want to buy more until I use this batch up.

Heres some history: I went through a phase a couple years ago where I wanted to experience pain, with no pain. I.e. the buddhist who lit himself on fire.

So, if I stubbed a toe, if I broke a finger, if I knocked my head, any sort of pain (not self inflicted of course) I would try my best to ignore it.

This also came then, with drinking ayahuasca, drinking alcohol, eating disgusting anything.

I would shut the senses off.

You really need to practice this, in order to be able to conquer naseau. It's a very, very powerful sense, on level with severe pain, but it is possible to overcome it. Mind over matter.

Well that is technically not ayahuasca. Ayahuasca is Banisteriopsis Caapi (the Ayahuasca vine) wth a DMT containing plant, mostly Psychotria viridis.
If you don't follow that recipe at all, then you can't say "I took ayahuasca but it wasn't what I expected".

I heard a story once, of a Tibetian monk that had his knee operated without the use of anesthetics, so he totally ignored the pain, but i dunno, doesn't that take like yeaaars of intense training?

Go figure, they are performing a surgery on your knee-cap, you are ignoring the pain, while suddenly you realize what's going on and think pain right back into existence because you lost focus.

This is strange as hell, the mind is something wondrful, but controlling it is one of the hardest things i can think of, i'd like to hear how you do that.
 
You might want to try pure dmt in a capsule.
Should work, never tried it myself yet though.
 
I'm almost positive it gives the same effects bastiaan - the body doesn't want DMT in the stomach, just like it doesn't want serotonin in the skin (bee sting).

Just do this - everytime you stub your toe, bite your tongue, hit your head, anything with that nasty short lived pain, practice.

If you drink alcohol, which isn't the best idea, don't do chaser, this is actually extremely easy compared to ayahuasca.

There are many ways to avoid physical responses of the body, it takes alot of practice, but soon you realize that you have control, and then you know you can use it.

You don't have to focus for too long relative to the trip - the naseau will go away within an hour (but will return... less potent but by this time you have absorbed the DMT, so purging after the third hour or so is for the most part not detering yuour trip.) This within an 8hour trip though...

Anyways point being, practice your ability to control pain, ignore pain, and thus ignore the physical responses.
 
Try this recipe with pepsi 4 Ayahuasca ..........

10 grams of quality mimosa root bark
3.5 grams of Syrian Rue.

Now, get two 500 ml bottles of Pepsi or Coke

Pour off half of each and carefully add 250 ml of distilled water so as not to disrupt the carbonation.

Now, get seran wrap and make a tube with the index finger and put the mimosa powder into it. Cut the excess and leave the open end slightly open and then carefully insert it into the cola bottle, and when down and floating, cap it and shake it vigorously so as to fully open the seran capsule, and represurize the bottle

Do the same with the Rue.

Now let sit for 5 to 7 days shaking every day.

Then on the day of departure, open the bottles carefully to allow the gas to excape. And after it sets and goes flat pour off each into separate sauce pans and boil down to 200 ml. (about 2/3 cup).

Take the rue first waiting about 30 min after the last sip before taking the mimosa cola.

My dreamer friend reports that this technique is easy, simple and most of all--- QUITE EFFECTIVE.

And it tastes much better than with other brewing methods.
 
the only real advice i can give is eat a slice of bread beforehand it wont hurt trust me, the majority of people dont realise that harmala's like caapi and rue (which i use most often) are not MAOI's they are RIMA's and RIMA's are much less diet restrictive because unlike prescription MAOI's they do not destroy MAO A and B they only temporarily shut down Mao A while leaving behind MAO B, here this explains it better than i can http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reversible ... _oxidase_A

but even tho diet restrictions do not apply to RIMA's much if at all medication restrictions do so make sure nothing aside from pot is in your system for 2 weeks prior to be safe. also you may consider brewing 40 grams of mimosa like i do and brewing it to make 4-6 cups worth so as soon as you purge after 20 minutes then you can immediately drink a second cup ect. also do not brew your rue with your mimosa , hell dont brew it period, grind up 3 grams in a coffee grinder and capsul it then eat the 3 grams and wait 30-45 minutes, this will ensure that the MAOI/RIMA effect will be able to take hold where instead when brewed together if you purge early you may not get enough of an maoi effect to make the dmt active. thats my secret but please be very very careful, a 40gram mimosa brew IS NOT A TOY!!!! ive watched my own brother collapse from it and if i wans t there to catch him he would have broken bones and cracked his skull bad and possibly could have taken a seizure. if you have any further questions please PM me this is my area of expertise, well one of them
