Can you use a vaporizer to smoke DMT?

Hi, I was just thinking, if you don't have a glass pipe, and want to use a different method then the pipe with layers of ashes, would it be possible to use a vaporizer?

I mean a vaporizer normally used for smoking pot, I thought maybe that would be easyer, you put the DMT in the vaporizer, watch it melt, and when it's all melted the DMT smoke will still be in there and you can take a big hit at once.

Or would that ruin the DMT?

you're supposed to vaporize it, smoking it incinerates it.

...but most vaporizers are designed for dry herbs, not for liquids. Since DMT turns into a liquid before it turns into vapor, and tends to condense very quickly, you've got to be careful that you the DMT doesn't get wasted by getting directly in contact with the heating element (and possibly destroying your vaporizer) or condensing on the inside of the tubing or balloon.

Hey, CaduceusMercurius, so what do I do then if I still decide to use a vaporizer?
Or would a vaporizer spill too much of the precious spice?Cause if it all condenses before I can smoke it, it's just a waste of DMT.
Do I put some ashes in there and then put the DMT on it, or do you have other suggestions?

What type of vaporizer do you have in mind?

I once put a tiny amount of DMT on spent cannabis in my Volcano vaporizer. I had a short DMT flash, so it seems I got most of it. There wasn't a layer of crystals on the inside of the balloon either. I must repeat the experiment when I have the time and guts.

Most vaporizers will get too hot and burn the dmt. I really recommend you looking up 'the Machine' on dmt-nexus.com and making it. It cost me about 3 euros in total to make a dmt pipe and it works like a charm.

I think I allmost searched trough the intire forum there, and still didn't find the page how to make The Machine, I did find alot lot of people talking about.

Basically it is a little bottle with a hole in the bottom and some steelfibres in the neck. DMT is melted on the steel and then you can ignite.

Position 1 is 130 degrees Celsius. What would be the ideal temperature?

according to erowid, the boiling point (trajectory) of DMT is 60-80 degrees Celsius. If it gets too hot, it burns instead of vaporizes, so you have to be careful. Maybe you can test the 130 degrees setting and see if it works efficiently (no black residu).

It's just that easy huh?
Drill a little hole in the bottom, put some steel whool in the neck of a bottle with a long neck.
Insert substance in through the hole, warm the neck, and heat it to smoke the vapor trough the hole.

Great, within a week I'll tell you how it worked!

Ps: I own this vaporizer, dunno if that would be any good to use for this?

Maybe I could put some of that steel whool in the heating element and put the DMT on top of that?
I guess it's basically the same concept as The Machine?
Anyways, I'll try it both in a week!
