GODDAMN!!!! /forum/images/graemlins/icon_head222.gif
Last night I repeated my experiment. I took 1 Valerian Cap at 8 pm. Then Another one at 10:30 pm plus 4 Calea Caps. Then at 11 pm I smoked a Calea cigarette. Result: NOTHING! I had trouble falling asleep... eventually I did, but it took a while. I woke up a lot during the night and when I woke up in the morning I was completely rested but... NO DREAMS WHATSOEVER!!!! Nothing, nada, niente, zip, zero, squat! Imagination stimulated? Yes! Some weird thoughts when I woke up during the night? Yes! Incredible mystical dreams with prophetic meaning? NO!!!! /forum/images/graemlins/icon_head222.gif
Ok, easy /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif I think there are several explanations...
1. I quit smoking tobacco and I'm smoking smoking weed not as much as I used to (which was at least one joint every day before sleeping). This could have an influence on my dreams.
2. I'm having lots of stress. Mostly because of my exams and because I quit smoking, but also in my personal life. But if that were to be the cause of me not dreaming, then this would defy the whole theory of why shamans take dream herb to explain (among other things) stressful events in their, or other people's, lives.
3. Valerian delays the waking process, so it's much more difficult to remember my dreams.
The Calea DID work. I woke up a lot but I'm rested. This means I had lots of good REM sleep. I think Valerian is the bad guy here, but I'm not sure. Anybody got any thoughts on this?
