I just saw this on a web site, about Bill C-51. Hope it doesn't happen!

Attention all Canadians!!! STOP BILL C-51 http://www.stopc51.com. This Bill gives powers to other International Governments to control Food, Drugs, Devices, Therapeutic Products, Natural Health Products, etc within Canada and denies Canadian of their Constitutional Rights. If any of our products were deemed by a foreign government to fall within jurisdiction of this Bill, all personal information collected by a company would also be considered property of the government and give the government permission to conduct 'raids' without warrant of any premises they wish. It also gives the government the power to create laws affecting the products behind closed doors without public consultation.

I understand the need to ensure public safety - but not at the expense of personal freedoms. If you're a Canadian please send an e-mail or use the form on the stopc51.com website to send a note to your MP. It's important.

And yes, it is infuriating. Canada is going down the rabbit hole so quickly these days, while the neo-cons guffaw all the way.

This is basically the drug war on crack. Or an ad absurdum example of failed drug policy. I can't believe our government right now. Two years and more regressive policies than Bush, Inc. to the south. Just a reminder that the price of liberty is eternal vigilance. Too bad Canadians skipped that class..
