Reminds me of a parasite called leverbot in Holland. These supposedly live on the liver of sheep, lay eggs which leave the sheeps body. Eggs are processed by snails, and if eaten by ants, they will cause the ant to climb up in the grass, gets eaten by sheep etc..

Nature is amazing
