Aya Newb Question(s)

Hey y'all.

So I'm trying out aya for the first time on Monday and need to start brewing tonight. I have read that it is recommended to brew two doses, so if you purge too soon, you have a second chance. First Q: How long is long enough to hold down the brew? How soon is a premature purge? Next Q: If I don't need to use the second dose, how can I store it? Freezer?

I held mine down for about 25-35 minutes, and I decided I wasn't going to be able to handle aya at that time, so I purged everything up. I still had significant tracers (much stronger than a large mushroom dose) and my thoughts were crystal clear like that I hear people on acid describing. I was seeing skeletons for a few seconds but that also stopped.

The rule is, if you can hold it down... just do it. To be honest I really could have held it down for the entire duration, I didn't see it as that impossible really, it's kind of like a "Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........Eerrrrrrrr".

While you are waiting for the day to arrive, practice. Make some nasty shakes and drink em up! Think of the grossest things to eat in your house and go for it. seriously.

If you can hold it down for 1.5 hours you should have the majority you need in your duodenum. If you get to 2 hours you've probably got enough that any puking won't matter.

It's truly an amazing feeling. Its as if the world begins to vibrate, breathe, and speak to you.

And ayahuasca storage, I don't know length, but yes a fridge is fine, Since DMT is quite unreactive and I would assume the same for maoi, I would say you can store it for a few months.

Good luck man, meditate for a while, if you can do it in a beautiful setting its wonderful. I wouldn't recommend ayahuasca indoors.

About the storage, I dug up on the DMT nexus forum that it can be kept 3-7 days refrigerated and much longer frozen.

I'm sure I'll end up outside. Things are shaky right now, though. My parents say I can't do it, "it's the same as growing marijuana in the house." I know they are looking out for my best interests, but they don't know what the fuck they are talking about!! It's very frustrating. I'll stop now, before it turns into a rant. If I can't convince them (I sent emails with info from erowid and others), I will be brewing it at a friend's place and dosing at mine the next day.

Yeah, just don't argue with parents. I attempted to explain DMT to my mom. She said it's like meth.

I got angry, but kept my cool and attempted to explain - (this was under the intense naseau of LSA too lol) it just doesn't work, if your parents are like mine, just accept they won't accept... it's too big of a change for them.

Yeah, people are afraid of what they don't understand. Based on that, I'm trying to provide the information so that they will understand. It doesn't matter for now, I guess.

Anyways, my mindset has been compromised and I won't do the ayahuasca yet. I should have known better than to think I could just brew it up in the kitchen, lies are the only safe way.
