Avatar won't upload

I've tried several ways to set this image as my avatar and it refuses to cooperate. http://michaelvipperman.files.wordpress ... /sigil.gif

Any idea why?

have you tried downloading it and uploading it to the site directly?

When I try that it says "Temporary folder could not be found. Please check your PHP installation," which doesn't make any sense. I can upload to other websites just fine.

Sounds like a server-side problem to me...

I had to convert it to jpg, host it on imageshack, select the "External link" option and finally specify the avatar's size (auto-détect wasn't working for some reason), but I finally got it. o/
