    question about peyote

Looks more like a gymnocalycium or maybe a matucana. It has had too much sun and water by the looks of it. Change the soil to a much more rocky and gritty mix which little to no organics and leave it dry for a while before watering again. Only water when it's gobe totally dry and it will need a...

    San pedro

My message is totally my own theory so easily ignored. The native people who use these cacti as ethogenic tools asigned great spiritual meaning to the variouse differences in the plants which are lost on most western cultures. The 4 ribbed expression is said to represent the 4 winds and...

which member of the trichocereus family is most potent?

Its really all debatory, individual plants within a species can vary in alkaliod diversity and quantity. Echinopsis Peruvianus does have more variety of alkaliods but most will want high mescaline so other species such as echinopsis langiformis (formaly trichocereus bridgesii) echinopsis...

    Tripping on Hallucinogenic Frogs

The correct amphibian is the cane toad bufo marinas. The poison glads behind the eyes are squeezed like spots and the liquid the comes out allowed to crystallise and then smoked in a pipe. Not a fun trip dont do it, it lingers for weeks and the smoking of it is kinda addictive with anecdotal...

    any tips to grow faster?

Fast growth is not good. The slower psychedelic cacti the better. The alkaloids you want are deffence mechanism. The harder the conditions the more they produce to cope. Lophophora use mescaline and a pesticide and antifreeze. The more quickly the growth the more water the cells will contain...

Nice collection you have there. I have had more succes with seeds lately I now have turbinicarpus lophophoroides, pseudopectinatus and Epithelantha micromeris going strong. My Collection of Mexican cacti... so far

Apparently they are psychoactive if you read some sources but I have since done further research and I now think it is a false statement. These cacti may well have been referred to as peyote but this seems to be a far more generic name given to any cacti use for any non food consumption. They...

    question about peyote

You posted this on cactiguide forum? Any way it just looks sun stressed nothing wrong just give it a bit of shade. In the wild they grown under bushes, in crevices between rocks or mostly buried so only get a little direct light. Also the soil looks to organic. You might want to change it to a...

    Definitely curious on try mescalito

I would suggest having a go at some salvia divinorum smoking it in a pipe. It does not last long but gives you a good idea of what to expect. Other psychedelics will have a similar effect but duration will be much longer. I had lsd first but you will find lsd, mushrooms and mescaline all fairly...

That statement is very wrong. Liberty caps are the common name for psylocybe semilanceata a very distict species. I intend to water my one more time soon so keep an eye out and I'll show you pics of how they shrivel up before and then swell up after.
  25. adetheproducer

    Lophophora williamsii Caespitosa?

The mescaline is produced and other alkaloids to protect from drought so the dryer it is the better. Mine get water 1 or 2 time a week in summer only once the soil is dry then 1 time in maybe a month or two in winter and only if extremely shrivelled.

    Lophophora williamsii Caespitosa?

Nothing looks rotten. It will contain mescaline but will need to build up levels with slow growth and age. There is not much hope in finding out how old it is for various reasons but that is of little concern once it flowers it is mature. They are right to say not to water it due to the split...

    Amsterdam's peyote?

one thing I would like to point out though, is that if you are buying living cacti they will not have much mescaline in them and will take a long period usually a full growing season with out water to build up the mescaline content. They should contain pellotine as well which again will increase...

    Amsterdam's peyote?

There is no straight answer. That is why you cannot get one even after 10 days. Every cactus has differing amounts of mescaline and everyone reacts differently. My advice would be to get say 25 3cm buttons or 15 5-6cm buttons that way you should have more than enough. Follow instructions for...
