    Come to think of it, I didn't consciously experience these feelings of inadequacy and shame, but that doesn't mean they weren't there, of course. I have good intentions for next time, though, where I want to completely give in to the experience.

    Well, of course, I got that, but it misses the relevance that the other entheogens have. For me, that is. I had a few great experiences on Salvia, don't get me wrong, but the experience is so otherworldly that I find it too hard to integrate.

    ^exactly, it is precisely the other way around, imho the visuals are a representation of an inner process. Salvia had some crazy visuals, but there wasn't really any meaning in it, at least not something I could understand. I've lost interest in it after a few times.

    I don't get scared from visuals. If I'm scared, the visuals become dark and spooky. My weirdest visual was on Salvia. I saw Bert and Ernie drive by in a convertible waiving at me and calling me to come join them... Unfortunately I couldn't move. Would love to check out their street.

    It was, but I must add it was hard for me to remember every ceremonial thing we did. Good observation. Humility describes the process very well and it is perhaps the subtlest lesson I learned.

    I'd advice taking them by yourself first before you move on to higher doses. Perhaps you can have a sitter present who doesn't interfere with the trip but is there for you when you need someone, but tripping alone is definitely very different from tripping with friends.

    I've used LSD a few times on festivals and at least once on a party. But I generally get a feel for the atmosphere before I do it. If it is good, and I feel good, I take it. I've seen people taking a blotter while standing in line for the boom festival last year, when they knew they had to wait...

    Maybe you two could do a ritual together (= lure him in/take care of setting) with a few basic rules for preparation (= abstain for few days prior and prepare mentally/take care of set). Otherwise I wouldn't give him any more, because, as you said, that is feeding the urge.

    I think the whole list will definitely have some effect due to intense stress to your Central Nervous System. Sense deprivation for three days should probably be enough. Or you could try a psychedelic, although I have heard from an experienced psychonaut that the sense deprivation works better.
