    I always use tap water, but the chlorine content is prety low here in holland, but u could use rain water. repotting the cactus coud be very stress full for the plant and your plant is already stressed. so I wouldent do that unless there isnt another option.

    I think that if you cut the catus in slices of one cm and put them in the sun to dry, and then when they are dry put them in a refrigerator then the potency loss is insignificant.

    as for the drying of the cactus, in peru the shamans slice the cactus in too stars and then lay them in the sun to dry. the core is not that important it contains some alkloids but not that much, the skin (or the part beneath the skin) is wat contains most of the mescalin.

    perhaps there is too much vertilizer in the water, you could try and give it vertilizer free water. if the soil contains too much minerals your cactus get depleted of water and the plant cells dry out. so perhaps if you would wash away some of the minerals in the soil your cactus would get...

    I only taken san pedro once so I cant tell you everything, but one foot is the general exepted dose, but in weight a friend of mine always takes one kilo of fresh cactus.a cactus exists for 94 % of water so a kilo fresh would be 60 grams of dry material including the stem.

    if you are planing to eat it tomorow you dont have time to dry it so you probably have to eat the cactus fresh. I've heard that it is best consumed with grapefruit juice, or orange juice. perhaps a bit of dry bread wil help to get the peyote down. but I dont know for shure, never eaten fresh...

    Hi! first of all, welcome to te forum! :) why dont you use 6 grams? on big doses half a gram more or less would not be a great diference right? and besides, bigger dosses can produce the real shock effect that could be great for healing :)
