I just finished playing Oddworld: New and Tasty. A classic game though after binging on it a little I felt a bit overloaded by the oppression aesthetic of the game. I like playing underdogs, but that game bordered on horror.
Drugs are illegal for the same reason the government tightly controls immigration. It keeps you focused on something that isn't truly important and gives the government a justification for its control over our lives more in general.

It'd be nice to have some stats. Anecdotally I've heard about some madness from LSD and some from Ayahuasca. I find ayahuasca very intimidating now. Brugmansia sounds a bit terrifying too but it's not as used as those two.
