What types of doctors study psychedelics?

I am fascinated by the topic of psychedelics (LSD, psilocybin, mescaline, DMT, etc.) and their effect on the human brain and how they enable us to perceive some of the things we do. What type of doctors are involved in this field of study? Neurologists? Psychiatrists?

Hi!

I am not very well informed about your question, but I read on a book written by Hoffman, the inventor of LSD, that the LSD was used during therapies for people which had mental problems. Therefore I suppose that it was used by psichiatrists and psychologists, Hoffman instead was a chemist.
