Questions regarding ayahuasca brew

I'm considering trying the following recipe I found on erowid. Does anyone know if by using t-shirts as filters you can get dye poisoning from the shirts?

Considering typically extractions deal with dangerous and poisonous chemicals the shirt thing is funny. How about you just use a cotton t-shirt with no ink? Or better yet, use a regular coffee filter. Done and done.

highly unlikely if it's an old shirt that has been in the washer 100 times.
