Dear Listners, has anyone out there achieved an out of body experience on LSD?

I had a reaaalllly strong trip last night and at one point, lying on my bed in the darkness I could sense/see with my mind's eye my "essence" (visually a bit like the milky way if it flowed like water) spiraling upward out of a void. The further my essence spiralled upward the lighter I felt and the less engaged I felt by the bed and my clothes. Unfortunately I could not stop my rational mind interfering and telling me to watch out because I could be ebbing my consciousness away etc - these thoughts brought me out of it and sobered me up a little such that I couldn't get back to that state.

Has anybody out there had an out of body experience? I'm trying to work out if I was close and if I can just quell that rational voice (that was actually quite scared of the consequences of surrender) can LSD help me to achieve it?

LSD con only trip your mind itsscience  makes fun of your mind

Thanks for the reply bebbolo, I thought that would be the case but I've been searching for awhile now for a shamanistic type experience (i.e. an induced journey into the self/spiritual) it's just that synthetics are much more readily available than the natural options.

The search continues.

In this case, good research itsscience

Yeah I'm working on the theory, "if you seek, so shall you find".

I'll report back if I do find what I'm searching for. One thing I do know is that the universe holds more than we ever dare to imagine.

I thought LSD may have helped, I once saw a documentary where the 2 scientists credited with creating LSD were interviewed as 80 year olds. One of them said he still takes it occassionally and that he believes it is the key to the next level of consciousness.

i have had many out of body experiences on many chemicals
not all smiles and gumdrops some were very frightening. all were wonderful and profound in some way.

have you tried Divine Molecular Tuning?

i think it takes Occam's Razor to LSD if anyone knows what i mean by that

Thanks EE, that gives me some reading to do. As I understand it Occam's Razor principle is the principle that the simplest answer is usually the correct answer (or more accurately, the hypothesis that requires the fewest new assumptions out of competing hypothesi).

So to revert to the start of this thread and the replies, it is possible that the two competing hypothesi are:

1. It's not an out of body experience, just the LSD playing tricks on you; and
2. It is an out of body experience facilitated by the LSD.

This is where I'm stumped in applying Occam's razor because the hypothesis that requires the fewest new assumptions is No. 1 but I arrive at that conclusion more out of a lack of knowledge of mysticism and the workings of out of body experience. In other words Occam's principle requires absolute or total knowledge of the subject matter of both hypothesi.

Now to read about Divine Molecular Tuning.

what i meant about the occams razor thing is its the simplest solution
the lsd can give you an out of body experience by often you have to wait hours and its a long drawn out thing
and at the very very peak when your tripping your hardest you can leave your body
why i think dmt is a simpler way to an out of body experience (dont get me wrong im not stating preference of dmt over lsd)
dmt you take a hit and if its big enough and you can hold in the smoke you should leave your body in about 20-30 seconds
and 15 minutes later your like omg

I have a bit of a search around for Divine Molecular Tuning with no success.

Can you give me any further info on this to help me search?

I've read a hell of a lot about dmt but I've never heard of it being available around my neck of the woods, I may have to give swim's easy tek a go.

dude thats the beauty of dmt

its simple and low cost to extract str8 from nature
and btw its in ALOT of plants

i would advise the tek. you can always modify it to work for you
for instance it says to use 500-+ ml vinegar bottles but i dont see the point. pickle jars work better i think
and if you use mimosa you can skip the defatting stage

where i live i had never even heard of the stuff before i started researching it.
most places you cant find it on the streets
thats why theres so many people doing the teks

LSD has never made a magician i'v known experience the type of magic that you describe but it sounds like it would be pleasant to experience...Being a magician i understand exactly what your saying. But for my magic i suggest bringing DMT because it has been known to do this everytime! And is number 1 for magic.

it is around, i keep on finding people (northside and 2 south) that have had it

it is a bitch to get ur hands on though, ive tried once and it turned out to be dud dmt :(
however the upside is that loads of native plants contain it and from what i understand its not too complicated to extract

keep trying im sure it will be worth the experience
