i have a question: the naphta and the lye will not leave a residue on our cristals ? i am not a chemist, and i don't understand squat about all those processes, but i wonder..since the lye we can buy is not 100% pure, and the naphta is used to light lighters, will this not precipitate with the cristals ?
i never used pure dmt, and i am very curious...i want to do this extraction, it seems somewhat easy...but after the sniffing yopo seeds, i am kind of affraid of DMT.

1) lye doesnt bind to naptha but you can easily test your end results for lye:

put a little spice on the point of a knife, then use a torchligther to burn that. If any lye is present, the flame will briefly turn red/orange.

2) Naptha residu

I evaped naptha once leaving no residu. But its possible a little residu is left. You could either live with it or build a distiller and distill your naptha before using.
