i was wondering if mimosa can be used without any other herbs, does anyone has expieriance with this?
and if u make a brew of only mimosa then is it still an Ayahuasca brew?

nope,

DMT itself is not orally active.
It gets metabolized by MAO-enzymes in your stomach,
thats why you add a MAO-inhibitor (e.g. peganum harmala).

On the other hand, if you can extract it, you can smoke it pure.

Mimosa tenuiflora / tenuifolia / hostilis / nigra / jurema / cabrera ( dfferent names for the same plant ) has the reputation that it is oraly effective . Some say because it contains carbolines . This is not ayahuasca it is an ayahuasca analog ( = copy ) . The effects are the same .

Hello friends!

Yes, Mimosa is orally active by itself in much greater quantities, however, I've never heard a particular reason purposed such as GOD's suggestion that it's due to carbolines.

I tried this out once trying (once again) to prove Mr. McKenna wrong. From a batch of mimosa that would have done the trick with an maoi at 15 grams, it took 35g of mimosa to produce a true, dmt trip. This was also done through cold water extraction; just letting the powdered mimosa sit in cold water for 2 days, shaking occasionally.

The sugestion that it might be the carbolines comes from "The encyclopedia of psychoactive plants" by C.Rätsch on page 363 in the last paragraph .
