Making DMT Out Of Phalaris Arundinacea...

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out on this one. I was thinking on making some N,N-DMT out of Phalaris Arundinacea. I do not plan on doing it because I know im not ready, I just want to see if it is actually possible and do it for myself. I was going to use Ammonia as my base. I can't get my hands on "lye" because it is illegal in Canada. Is "Household Ammonia" the same thinng as Ammonium Hydroxide ? Also would this work just as well as NaOH? Also how would I dilute the Ammonia. (how many mL of Ammonia to how many mL of water).

Forget both arundinacea and ammonia.

Ammonia is not enough 'strong' (ph too low) and arundinacea is the weakest possible source of DMT, meaning that you would need several kilos to end up with few mg of 'something' which would even not be pure DMT but a mix of different things.

So if I were to use Mimosa Hostilis instead, what store bought base could I use? There is an oven cleaner that I seen that contained NaOH, but im pretty sure it is a foam, or comes out in a foam form.
