DMT extraction, some help needed...

Hi, I'm planning to do a DMT extraction, but I'm not quite shure about the right method, I've found some methods, but they look not quite complete.
Some are, but look not quite simple.

Could someone tell me a relatively easy way to do this, cause I don't know anything 'bout chemics, I'm a total n00b, but a depserate one!
So any help would be VERY apreciated! :idea: :?:

The video from Arimane looks very easy to do, as well as the link from User_1919, but they aren't quite the same, I guess the Erowid link is the most effective!

I am going to use this method for my first time.
So far, this is what i had in mind:
100 % Lye
Pool acid

Does this seem ok? My English sucks really bad, so i have big problems understanding what to buy, if anyone could help me explain what this is:
"Funnel"
"Evaporating" dish
Glass "pipette"

I am buying everything of the internet, mostly from separate websites. This is getting a little more expensive then i thought. Does anyone know of a website that has most products i will need from this recipe
Is any of the material avaliable in stores in Norway, i am shocked if anyone knows, but i have to ask.

I can help you. Lye will be your base that you use. You are going to have to dilute it. But if you wanted to do this step by step, I can help you as you do it. A funnel is just something that has a large diameter at the top, and narrows out so you don't spill anything. Evaporating dish is where you will put your finish product to evaporate, meaning to remove any liquid that your DMT is dissolved in. And a Pipet is just a device used to measure accurate volumes of liquid, or in the case of a DMT extracting, something used to remove liquid from the top of two separated liquids(polar and non-polar). You don't really have to worry about these things. For a pipet, don't buy one, instead go out and buy a turkey baster. It will do as equally a good job. But what I suggest is starting, and ask us questions while doing the process.

Oh and for material, all you need to order off the internet is Mimosa Hostilis, the rest you can find in a regular hardware store. Usually.

I am trying to understand the process in this guide, but there is something i can`t figure out about the filtering in step 4.

"Another way to improve this method is to use a vacuum filter. There are several varieties, the most affordable being a water vacuum filter that attaches to a household faucet. These cost about $30.00 and are very quick, useful and effective."

It sounds like a nice investment, but i do not understand what it means, is it a vacuumcleener?

I am really suprised user_1919 calls the QT TEK excellent. I've have read really a lot of failures of people using this tek.

I can't understand how you deal with emulsions with the high viscosity and how you can get a have a high yield after basifying till pH 9.

Big change you fail. You have to basify at least untill pH 11 and rather till pH 13. check the forum off dmt-nexus for more info.

There are certain modifications that you have to make, but the general outline of the tek is perfect for me at least.

I have read several extraction methods now and have come to the conclution that the QT's tek takes a little longer time than i had in mind, Noman's tek on the other side, looks quite good and easy for a newbie like me.

I still have big problems understanding words and complex phrases in the guide. In the intro of the guide he explains: "I don't give instructions for decanting, siphoning, and filtering, for example, because I assume that you have educated yourself on these simple procedures and that I don't have to clutter up my tek with them."

I have tried to find out everything to be sure to start off with the right tek, but i cannot understand every step in the guide, if anyone could please help me explaining what would be the best way for decanting, siphoning and filtering, it would be much appriciated

QT is fine except the basifying is to low, as I said. You can speed up the procedure from crystallisation but you just end up with a less clean product. You can also speed up the acid extraction but you have lower yield. If you want the crystallisation faster do a freeze-precipation.

I think is the straight to base method gives you even more problems with emulsions.

I said this before but you must think what your aim is. If you want a high yield and a clean product you have to be patient. If you just want it is fast as possible then just do a straight to base, never tried it but acid-base extraction works fine for me.
