I've recently had to save two phalaris arundinacea plants I tried to plant out in the wild - they got nibbled half to death by ducks. The morning after repotting them in my room one of them has very fine (like the salt from dried seawater) white crystals coming from various parts of the leaves.

I'm not entirely sure what they are - I'm hoping their crystals of a certain favorite tryptamine of mine... but prehaps thats just wishful thinking.

Does anyone have any ideas what else it could be / seen this before?

my guess would be some kind of mold

My advice, just throw it away. Could be very harmful to your health. The actual DMT extraction is not to complex, if you want to obtain, I recommond following that path, where you know what type of substance your going to end up with.

PEACE & LOVE

can't really tell what it is from the picture.. it could be brittle like a crystal but also foamy like a mold.

Although a duck-induced DMT yield would be very cool, it's not very likely.

I wouldn't say it looks like a normal fungus - no hyphae or spores... but could be a type of slime mold (albeit a non-slimey variety/lifestage); if so its pretty harmless to me or the plant - I think they eat mainly bacteria.

Thanks for the suggestion, wasn't planning on smoking it to find out - It was just a curiousity.

Cheers

definitely mold
not bacteria
it's actually living off the plant
throw it away and try salvaging the green parts of your plant and see if they survive...
indeed duck induced extraction would be cool
but unlikely
therefore throw away
