Ayahuasca Legal in the USA

Just got off the phone with my dad and he had he just got off the phone with my Uncle that lives in Seattle, USA. Anyways my Uncle knows some guy who was fighting for Ayahuasca to be legal in the USA, and apparently he won, and its legal now. I can't find any information about this on the internet, but it is true.....

I'm glad its legal now. Something that sacred should never be illegal.

Yeah I guess so. My uncle wouldn't lie about this stuff. He is right into the Ayahuasca use. I think his next session is New Years eve. But we will have to wait to see if there is any media coverage on this.

Wow, incredible! I was just standing at work this morning thinking I needed to experiment with DMT. Should I try some LSD before I experiment with Ayahuasca?

And, if anyone finds anything about the legalization of it in the US please post!

What doesn't make sence to me is that DMT is one of the most illegal substances in the world...So is DMT freebase also legal? Cause if Ayahuasca is legal, it contains DMT, so why can one be legal, and one be so very illegal...?

I'll try and get some more information from my uncle, or search for some articles reassuring that it is in fact legal...

What do you mean by "won" though (if you can enquire about it further).
Because there are a lot of cases where transplanted South Americans use the plant still after they come to the United States for religious purposes and are cracked down upon by the DEA, and then have to fight their way out of a heavy possession charge.

Cause if it's like, legalization for a few small religious groups, then it will basically be like peyote is already, where the NAC can use it, to the exclusion of all others.

Well, there are countries where fresh shrooms are legal but dried or powdered are illegal, if I understood well. It's the same thing here: they accept DMT in the form of Ayahuasca, but not in it's freebase form

No Key: I will try to get more information about this, but I know just as much as you...my dad told me my uncle told him that it is now legal in the USA. But this weekend I will be with my dad, well actually tomorrow i'm going there for Christmas, so I will ask more questions, and try to get in contact with my uncle.

I read that in '06 there was a religious group wanting a license to use and possess it, maybe that was the end of that?

Yeah maybe, i'm not to sure. We will have to wait to see if this is in the News or anything. I doubt it will be, but I know the guy was a CEO or Owner of some huge Liquor company, and he spent millions of dollars fighting for the right to use Ayahuasca for religious purposes. I'm glad they hold sessions every two weeks, I was thinking on flying down there maybe March Break, for my "graduation trip", and partake in my FIRST Ayahuasca session. Be the greatest grad trip that one could ask for.

Little update, Ayahuasca is not legal in the USA other than that certain group that has fought for the religious practice of Ayahuasca. It's sad to even think that something such as Ayahuasca is classified under the law as something dangerous and bad.
