I just got this E-mail from MAPS:-

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s Radio One channel will feature on its program Ideas a two-part documentary about ayahuasca on November 19th and 26th (http://www.cbc.ca/ideas) . You will be able to listen on the Internet by streaming audio in real-team when it is broadcast from 9:00 - 10:00 p.m. in all time zones across North America (so check zone differences): http://www.cbc.ca/listen/ . Alternatively, CBC usually sells CDs of Ideas programs after they have been broadcast. Among the people interviewed are Jessica Rochester (Santo Daime church leader in Montreal), Alex Polari de Alverga (Santo Daime church leader in Brazil), Jacques Mabit (Takiwasi Centre, Peru) and Dennis McKenna (ethnopharmacologist).

IN SEARCH OF THE DIVINE VEGETAL, Part 1 - Monday, November 19, 9:00 p.m.; Part 2 - Monday, November 26, 9:00 p.m.
>From the Amazon jungles to downtown Canada, ideas about Ayahuasca revive a decades-old argument about the uses and abuses, the ecstasies and the efficacies of mind-altering plants. Ayahuasca has been part of shamanic tradition for centuries. Broadcasters Thomas McKinnon and Leonard Cler-Cunningham travel the old trails, attend the ceremonies, and debate the religious, economic and political questions surrounding the divine vegetal.

GREAT, I live in Canada. I am very very suprisied to see this type of thing on such a big time channel. CBC is one of the biggest news stations in Canada. This may open some peoples eyes to the theraputic benefits of Ayahuasca. To me it feels almost as if 'times are going to change' in this world. OUR WORLD MUST WAKE UP!!!We need more shows like this brodcasted on TV so people see that most 'drugs' are actually good for you.
