im eating this cactus right now just minus the spines the core and the skin eating it fresh to my surprise was not really bad at all it actually kinda taste plain or kinda sour on the white flesh but the greener outer flesh does have some bitterness not horrible tasting like i've read on...

Thanks for the help man and yah I will attempt to grow with this piece of cactus. But I have 3 other pieces about the same size that I will use for tripping and I wasn't going to cook tea with it, I was just going to de-spine, cut it into stars take out the core, dry and powder it then roll it...

Is this san pedro cactus? Recently I found this cactus and had took a yard long cutting and by all the other san pedro cactus id posts I'm pretty sure this is it but I just wanted to post it to confirm it from some one with experience.
