    its not needed, just lift the jars a bit and scrape the spores of with a sterile scapel (fast and smoohtly). you wont see them falling of but they sure will. then shake the jars to mix it. syringes are also available at your local pharmacy

    they should require it, because they arent rooted. the cuttings cant get enough water through the roots so they need it through the leaves. i guess it depends on climate and size of the cuttings, azarius' cuttings are really small (imo). you got a pic of your huge salvia? ^^
